Sweden boosts military aid to Ukraine with $682 million
armament package
Sweden said Tuesday it would give 7.1 billion kronor
($682 million) worth of military equipment to Ukraine,
in a boost for the country as it struggles to fight
off Russia's invasion.
. . .
Not bad for a low-pop country like Sweden.
Others seem on a similar track as the USA
dithers and politikks over Ukraine aid.
One of the most useful items for Ukraine is
also among the lowest-tech - artillery shells.
Lack of shells was a large factor in them
losing territory to Russia last week. The
high-tech stuff is neato-cool, but it seems
even modern wars hinge on the basics.
Maybe Trump can forgive low NATO donations IF
member countries will provide mil-aid to worthy
parties ? It's money that won't have to go
through the ugly US political machine.
