Who cares about Palin ?

I only like Palin because she so far is not part of the problem. The
thing in alaska is unproven and a democratic witch hunt also she is
not required to testify. Even so, if that was the worse she ever did
she is a saint by comparison. Kennedy killed his pregnant girl
friend Clinton had people stealing evidence out of the national
archives, refused to obey subpoenas on his white water dealings, lied,
many people that knew are now dead, shit the list goes on. Like I
said, by comparison Palin is a saint.

What's Clinton running for?
Peace and justice,
That is a good question except the answer is obvious. The dems picked
Obama because he has never done anything, he is an unknown. You can't
look at somebodies record who doesn't have one but you can look at his
supporters. So, if you are voting for Obama you are voting for the
Clinton's, Al Gore. Kerry, Kennedy, Kadaffi and Macmood I'm-a-nut-
job. I have no idea why the Repubs picked McCain, I can only surmise
somebody put something in the water that made them all crazy (ier).
If good Americans really want what is good for America, they won't vote
for McPain.
Yeah, like BHO is so perfect, [sic]
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law
Enforcement
JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement
on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama
to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his
critics.
“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City
Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer,
and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire
McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the
Obama-Biden campaign.
“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond
words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is
abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence
political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal
punishment.
“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred
principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more
offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to
deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose
of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away
from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress
support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this
anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads
about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on
television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation
about the election.
“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press
constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we
ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no
credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law
enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent
of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”
So Nixon, Kennedy, and Clinton were worse than Palin (so far). Does that
mean we need to accept a person capable of lesser moral infractions than
they committed? Is that the new standard?
She's only 44 years old, has participated in only small-time politics and is
already in "trouble". The fact that she is not required to testify, or that
the allegations are yet unproven, are really insignificant compared to the
fact that they've been made and not adamantly denied and that she's not
moral enough to testify voluntarily. If her moral character is such that she
would engage in such petty political heavy-handedness at her low level, what
do you think she might be capable of doing given more power? I think that's
the question you should be considering. Do we ever judge our politicians
based on their apparent moral character anymore, or is everything they do
"ok" as long as it's "not related to the job"?
You can see only what you you want to see. You don't think Obama has
any dirty linen? BHO's good buddy is the guy was in charge of Fannie
Mae, but you don't see anything wrong there? BHO bought a house that
he paid $300,000 under assessed value for but he didn't buy the land
it was on, Rizo did, and you don't see anything wrong there? Now I
don't know what Palin actually did in alaska but you don't either. We
both know the dems are going to do everything possible to get or
manufacture anything they can on Palin. Than you insinuate that
someone in office wouldn't use their position to help a friend. Boy,
I don't know what planet you live on but that "IS" what goes on with
politics. The one thing I do like about Palin is she is not part of
the "good ol boy" network in congress. No, she doesn't have the
experience they have, wording pay raises in homeless victims
appropriations, setting up foreign bank accounts for the millions you
receive from pharmaceutical companies & the tobacco lobby and a
thousand other lobbies. She doesn't know how to make a expensive
vacation look like some sort of government project so the federal gov
picks up the tab. I'm sure there are a thousand other places the
"good-ol-boy" network uses to skim money off the fed into their own
pockets. That is the gob network and Biden is most definitely a key
player in it.
Here is a little more about your choir boy BHO.
Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama was quick to blame the
bankruptcy of Wall Street giant Lehman Brothers on Republicans'
"failed
philosophy". Obama's September 15 comments were repeated throughout
the
media--yet reporters have not noted Obama's glaring conflict of
interest-the
Lehman debt owed to a bank owned by the financier who loaned millions
of
dollars to Tony Rezko. Jockeying among the other debtors seeking
repayment
under Chapter 11 bankruptcy rules is BNP Paribas, a large French bank
whose
largest single private shareholder is Nadhmi Auchi's General
Mediterranean
Holdings (GMH). BNP Paribas is owed $250 million by Lehman.
Nadhmi Auchi is an Iraqi whose Baathist ties go back to 1959. A
formerly
high-ranking official in Iraq's Oil Ministry, Auchi left Iraq at the
end of
the 1970s. His wealth then grew exponentially as a procurer of arms
for
Saddam Hussein's government during the Iran-Iraq war. He is now one of
the
richest men in Britain. Saddam Hussein in 1995 selected BNP, which
later
merged with Paribas, as the sole conduit bank handling Oil-for-Food
transactions. This Clinton-era arrangement was changed in 2001 by the
incoming Bush administration.
Auchi was also a key financial backer for Chicago political fixer and
dual
US-Syrian citizen Tony Rezko. This writer explained the complex web of
relationships in an August 24 article titled, "Iraqi Billionaire
Threatens
Reporters Investigating Rezko Affair":
A secret $3.5 million loan from an Auchi company to key early-money
Barack
Obama fundraiser Antoin Rezko was exposed while Rezko was awaiting
trial on
fraud and money-laundering charges earlier this year. Rezko's bail was
revoked and police showed up banging on the doors of his Wilmette
Chicago
mansion to drag him off to jail early in the morning of January 28th.
Auchi's
loan to Rezko had come on May 23, 2005 but had not been disclosed to
the
Court as required in his bail agreement. Three weeks later, on June
15,
2005, Rezko's wife assisted the Obamas in the purchase of their South
Chicago mansion by purchasing a next-door undeveloped lot being sold
with
the house.

It's simply my opinion that she's indefensible as a choice. I was hoping to
avoid going here, but putting aside the allegations made against her (true,
they are at this time merely unfounded allegations), how can anyone vote for
a candidate that came across as she did in all of her Couric interviews?
She had no grasp of certain basic issues, nor any knowledge of some of them,
could not put together a cohesive sentence, was treated as a little girl
being protected by her daddy in the second one, has never traveled anywhere
(ie. she's 'unworldly'), and relied totally on her "cutesiness" factor to
try to get by. Simply put, she was an embarrassment that should have made
any reasonable person cringe.
And don't fall back on that "you're not voting for her, but for McCain"
argument. The VP position is next in line, and the choice goes directly to
McCain's judgement and leadership abilities. He's already f__ked up and that
needs to be acknowledged, not defended.
You do realize those interviews were cut up and presented out of
context, don't you?
http://blogsforjohnmccain.com/abcs-breach-ethics-palin-interview
Hollywood insider and Newsmax contributor James Hirsen tells TV
correspondent Ashley Martella that the actual transcript of ABC'S
interview of Sarah Palin does not match the broadcast itself. He
suspects ABC substituted other Palin answers for questions that she had
good answers for in an effort to make her look bad. Hear his detailed
explanation of what ABC did after the Charlie Gibson interview.
> She had no grasp of certain basic issues,
This isn't political "Jeopardy" you fucking ignorant assburp.
She's not John McCain's biographer and playing political trivia "gotcha"
is irrelevant and dismissive.
Grow a fucking brain and quit letting the absurdly biased media lead you
around like you had a ring through your nose.
A VP candidate should know what "the surge" is, what the Bush Doctrine is,
that Alaska's proximity to an outlying part of Russia does not constitute
"foreign policy experience", that Russian planes flying into Alaskan
airspace does not constitute "military defense experience", and should be
able to name ONE newspaper or magazine that she reads for news information.
I need to grow a brain? Yeah, I see. Perhaps YOU should have some standards
for your VP choice other than that you'd like to f__k her. From the
supposedly edited interview portions that I saw, there was not one question
asked of her that I think she shouldn't have been able to answer reasonably.
Even I could have answered them and I'm just a "fucking ignorant assburp".
It's been documented:
http://www.solomonia.com/blog/archive/2008/09/charles-gibsons-interview-with-sarah-pal/
Judith just forwarded this transcript of Gibson's interview with Sarah
Palin before ABC cherrypicked her quotes, editing out key parts of her
responses.
Thanks to Newsbusters:
Next we see that Palin was not nearly as hostile towards Russia as was
presented in the edited interview:
GIBSON: Let me ask you about some specific national security situations.
PALIN: Sure.
GIBSON: Let's start, because we are near Russia, let's start with Russia
and Georgia.
The administration has said we've got to maintain the territorial
integrity of Georgia. Do you believe the United States should try to
restore Georgian sovereignty over South Ossetia and Abkhazia?
PALIN: First off, we're going to continue good relations with
Saakashvili there. I was able to speak with him the other day and giving
him my commitment, as John McCain's running mate, that we will be
committed to Georgia. And we've got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia
to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic
country, unprovoked, is unacceptable and we have to keep...
GIBSON: You believe unprovoked.
PALIN: I do believe unprovoked and we have got to keep our eyes on
Russia, under the leadership there. I think it was unfortunate. That
manifestation that we saw with that invasion of Georgia shows us some
steps backwards that Russia has recently taken away from the race toward
a more democratic nation with democratic ideals. That's why we have to
keep an eye on Russia.
And, Charlie, you're in Alaska. We have that very narrow maritime border
between the United States, and the 49th state, Alaska, and Russia. They
are our next door neighbors. We need to have a good relationship with
them. They're very, very important to us and they are our next door
neighbor.
GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last
couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?
PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia
from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.
GIBSON: What insight does that give you into what they're doing in Georgia?
PALIN: Well, I'm giving you that perspective of how small our world is
and how important it is that we work with our allies to keep good
relation with all of these countries, especially Russia. We will not
repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our allies,
pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it's in their
benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be
getting along.
We also see from Palin's following remark, which was also edited out,
that she is far from some sort of latter day Cold Warrior which the
edited interview made her seem to be:
We cannot repeat the Cold War. We are thankful that, under Reagan, we
won the Cold War, without a shot fired, also. We've learned lessons from
that in our relationship with Russia, previously the Soviet Union.
We will not repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our
allies, pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it's in their
benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be
getting along.
Palin's extended remarks about defending our NATO allies were edited out
to make it seem that she was ready to go to war with Russia.
> but the rest of your post, in which you call ME names, borders on the absurd
> and reduces your credibility to close to zero.
The entire attack dog media frenzy on Palin is the true absurdity, did
you find a bit coming right back at YOU to be equally unsettling?
Good.
So it was designed to be.
> A VP candidate should know what "the surge" is, what the Bush Doctrine is,
Why?
The man who coined the term, wasccolumnist Charles Krauthammer:
In the Washington Post, Charles Krauthammer schools Charlie Gibson on
the Bush Doctrine -- a term coined by Krauthammer -- and totally
misunderstood by the Mainstream Media and.... Charlie Gibson.
Quote:
I know something about the subject because, as the Wikipedia entry on
the Bush doctrine notes, I was the first to use the term.
He articulates the evolving nature of the Bush Doctrine, pointing out
that the smarmy Gibson definition is only a small part of the whole.
apparently Gov Palin understands that better than Gibson.
In essence Krauthammer articulated 4 separate Bush doctrines.
Palin is not running as BUSH's VP though is she?
Of course not.
What is important is what she and McCain think, not what Bush does.
Grow a fucking brain.
> that Alaska's proximity to an outlying part of Russia does not constitute
> "foreign policy experience",
http://www.japantoday.com/category/world/view/palin-defends-alaska-russia-remark
When Couric asked how Alaskas closeness to Russia enhanced her foreign
policy experience, Palin said, Well, it certainly does because our ...
our next-door neighbors are foreign countries. Alaska shares a border
with Canada.
Palin didnt answer directly when Couric inquired about whether she had
been involved in any negotiations with the Russians.
We have trade missions back and forth, she replied, although Russia is
not among the states top 20 export partners.
Palin has two trade specialists working for the governors office. Some
of the top countries receiving Alaskan goods are Japan, China, Canada
and Germany, according to 2007 export data, the most recent figures
published, with seafood accounting for 50 percent of products exported.
Palin spokesman Bill McAllister said she met with Icelands president,
Olafur Ragnar Grimsson last fall, and they discussed energy issues. She
also has met with various trade delegations during her two years in office.

Do tell...
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/02/11/world/main3819788.shtml
(AP) U.S. fighter planes intercepted two Russian bombers, including one
that buzzed an American aircraft carrier in the western Pacific during
the weekend, The Associated Press has learned.
A U.S. military official says that one Russian Tupolev 95 flew directly
over the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz twice, at a low altitude of about
2,000 feet, while another bomber circled about 58 miles out. The
official was speaking on condition of anonymity because the reports on
the flights were classified as secret.
The Saturday incident, which never escalated beyond the flyover, comes
amid heightened tensions between the United States and Russia over U.S.
plans for a missile defense system based in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Such Russian bomber flights were common during the Cold War, but have
been rare since.
http://www.washtimes.com/news/2008/jun/26/russian-flights-smack-of-cold-war/
Russian flights smack of Cold War
U.S. fighters ID bombers near Alaska
Russian bombers have stepped up provocative flight exercises off the
Alaskan coast, reminiscent of Cold War incursions designed to rattle
U.S. air defenses.
U.S. Northern Command, which protects North American airspace, told The
Washington Times that TU-95 Bear bombers on 18 occasions the past year
have skirted a 12-mile air defense identification zone that protects
Alaska. The incursions prompted F-15s and F-22 Raptor fighters to
scramble from Elmendorf Air Force Base and intercept the warplanes. The
last incident happened in May.
The venerable propeller-driven TU-95 came to symbolize the Cold War, as
did its counterpart, the U.S. B-52 Stratofortress.
"They have flown close enough to deem it necessary to ID and monitor
them," said Maj. Allen Herritage, a base spokesman. "They come. We ID.
We go back to our base. They go back to their base." Elmendorf is
headquarters for the Alaskan region of the North American Aerospace
Defense Command (NORAD).
Air defense identification zones are military boundaries designed to
guard the U.S. and Canada against attack. To enter the zones legally,
pilots must file flight plans with air controllers. Russian bombers do
not file flight plans, so U.S. and Canadian jets are required to
scramble to identify the planes and warn them away from the area.
"They have not been filing a flight plan and that is the problem," Maj.
Herritage said.
Moscow's sophisticated show of force has some in the Pentagon paying
more attention to the long-term goals of a Russian military, which is
being rebuilt with proceeds from the country's huge oil and gas
revenues. NORAD is more sensitive than ever to wayward aircraft, given
the Sept. 11 attacks by hijackers and the lack of military coordination
at the time to track, and perhaps destroy, the planes.
