Marxism: the material productive forces have once again come
into conflict with the social relations of production,
giving rise to a new period of social revolution, in which
the fate of the working class, and humanity as a whole, will
be decided. It is for precisely such a period that we must
now prepare. Above all, this requires the development of a
program and perspective—the program of international
socialism—on which the working class must advance its own
independent interests. It can only be established and, most
importantly, fought for, through a clear differentiation
from the policies advanced by the various "left" reformers
and radical tendencies.
