Subject Line: CNN: Oboobuh says he doesn't believe North Korea HAS
nuclear missile

Wrong, Buford. The CNN report states:

"CNN) -- President Barack Obama has said he doesn't believe North
Korea can fit a nuclear warhead on a missile, casting strong doubt on
an alarming assessment disclosed last week by the Pentagon's
intelligence arm."

See that? Obama doesn't believe North Korea CAN FIT A NUCLEAR WARHEAD
ON A MISSILE. Quite different from your Subject Line.

Looks like you have an overdose of FoxRushBeckHannity.

Underestimating enemies is not what I'm talking about.

You misquoted Obama and I showed you where you did so. Try again.

And see what it got you. Drudge is just a news aggregator, posting links
to news. He does no real reporting of his own, just parrots stuff.

"I'd believe Drudge befoe CNN any day."

Idiot. Look at the citation you quoted in your FIRST post.

It was CNN.

Gen. McCaffrey seems to believe otherwise.. He says he believes they
have as many as 12 weapons today, and in a year or two will be able to
mate them to intermediate range missiles.

North Korea has a bunch of standard Russian-designed missiles, SCUDS, etc.

They should be able to use those.. It shouldn't be rocket science.
Further, they've put a satellite into orbit, although possibly with some
glitches..

They've had 3 successful fission weapon tests.

They have jetliners that could probably carry even something VERY heavy
like the original US fatman (10,000 lbs), and likely they (and you and I)
could get designs for more advanced, lighter weapons than that.. The
former head of the Pakistan nuclear weapons program was giving away tech
info to a bunch of countries..

Wikipedia would list what conventional weapons they have, missiles,
planes, etc.

I think people think in terms of the orginal US fatman and the very
expensive, complex manhattan project.. However, they have advantages
today that the US didn't have back then..

Not to say, they're the most competent engineering society in the world
either..

I don't see why it matters that they have intermediate range missiles
anyway. They can hit a bunch of Japan or all of So Korea about with
SCUDS, if their weapons are say, less than a ton..

These are just standard military weapons, purchased from the Russians or
Chinese..

It's possible I imagine that the test weapons they have detonated so far
are not suited to using as weapons, but they may well have gone right to
designs that are useful as weapons... It's been done before a bunch of
times now.. The Internet makes things easier.. Even translation
services easier. Espionage easier. Buying info easier..

Hopefully, they won't use them..

Because of modern stuff, Space-X is able to build huge rocket systems on
a shoestring, that work well, with limited testing... North Korea won't
do as well probably, but some of the same modern advantages apply..

I think they'd only use their weapons, if they were available for use, in
a situation where the regime was about to fail/fall.. Out of spite,
hate. Like, Hitler trying to destroy Germany's infrastructure when he
was going down.. However, prior to that they serve as they do for any
country. Regime survival. National system survival. Deterrence.
Getting things from other countries too, they'd hope.

Rather than have it come to that, if we believe they've got even half-
assed systems, we and friends might want the regime to survive and might
work towards helping that.. rather than get Seoul nuked, etc.

A few years ago, if it failed, it'd be a big mess in terms of
reunification costs and worse - the number who might starve.... But now..
Might be worse..

Might say further... The North Koreans have recently emphasized that
their weapons are modern, lightweight designs. They know people will
think of the "fat man" type of thing, manhattan project.

It might not surprise me if they'd end up even showing their fission
devices to experts from the west. What would it hurt? They want people
to believe they've got them.

OTOH, if they don't obviously they wouldn't do that..

Sure, they would ideally like them distributed, on mobile launchers, etc.

However, not really important.. It's not like they want to win a nuclear
war - they'd lose even to South Korea alone. Even if they used nukes..
Winning a war isn't what the top people there want, since it's
impossible..

They just need something that has a credible threat against So Korean and
possibly Japanese cities..

Fortunately, people in Seoul are hardy and used to having a monster just
a short distance away.. They do well in high crime areas when they
immigrate into the US..

Might also mention. Another big theme in this - if they are able to
build effective military fission devices as Gen. McCaffrey believes (he
probably gets his info from some of the best analysts, not necessarily
top secret now, but what's that matter? He also could easily read
between the lines of what classified types say..)...

Then, they could start selling them around the world.. These are light
things, even relatively if say, the US 60 year old "fatman" (only 5 tons,
not a lot to ship by sea..)

They of course would like to have the money, but they might also like to
cause disruption in the world strategic situation. I haven't really
thought/studied too much about that to know if that's something they'd
want and do.. I'm sure some smarter than I have.. and some good ones
might be available for reading somewhere..

Another point. The US in the 1950's developed nuclear munitions that
weighed - including casing - as little as 150 lbs..

These were very low yield devices, designed as mines to be placed in
valleys, etc. by special forces.. To stop Warsaw Pact columns.. It used
to be anyway you could view these cases I think at the Los Alamos museum.

The North Koreans, I'd guess, couldn't make those, but gives some
perspective.. Those would probably do the job in terms of terror/threat
against a modern city.. If they could do the same thing that weighed
500lbs, might be better than much more powerful devices that'd weigh 2000
lbs..

However, my guess is they use stuff developed by Pakistan, weighing
1500lbs or something.. That have a good punch, if not up to US/Russian
standards..

Maybe theirs weigh a little more... They might not have gotten 100% of
the info they needed, and are crummy engineers.. relative to the West,
through no fault of their own genetics.. (Koreans are obviously very
bright people..)

But I don't know. Just speculating..

What Gen. McCaffrey says is what I base this on.. Prior to that, I was
thinking Manhattan project.. fatman.. 60-70 years ago.. which probably
doesn't make sense..

If they don't show their stuff, suggests they don't have good stuff seems
to me.. Maybe, we can worry a little less.. My prediction, they might
have a US/western expert come and look at the innards of one of their
devices..

Another point, from the Demonrat perspective of wanting to avoid military
expenses...

Personally, I don't see why North Korea having nuclear weapons of
probably half-assed or 2/3-ass quality of say, the 1950's means the US
has to spend a trillion or 10 dollars on defense..

Well, maybe I'm wrong if they have IRBM's that could hit Hawaii...

However, I doubt that'd cost that much. We already have an SDI system in
place at Vandenburg and Alaska. Obama did reduce it a bit, but probably
not too many bucks to increase it back, and even expand it some..
Protect Hawaii.. You'll still have your bucks for your unions and such..

There are already a bunch of Navy Aegis anti-missile systems in the US,
and japan and South Korea.. Which would be in ports and off coasts.
Plus a ground-based system for close-in ballistic missile defense.. They
just moved one to Guam, just in case North korea has a medium range
system that might drop a nuke there..

These won't work 100%, but would maybe work towards that direction,
somewhere.. Nothing's perfect in life.. 50% might be great.. and I'd
guess they'd do a bit more than that..

So, maybe Dems can figure Obama can take credit... if the SHTF. Maybe he
can do it with the FBI efforts, even local, in the recent stuff in Boston
area..

Obama's amazing.. Demonrats are amazing and love us.. (just kidding,
some they probably really do..)

Matt Drudge is an admitted HOMOSEXUAL.

Why do you have a problem with a rural PECKERWOOD like Barta groveling
at his feet?

In Barta's family, the 'Squeal Like A Piggy" scene from the 1970s
flick "Deliverance' is not a perverse Hollywood thing starring Burt
Reynolds. It's just another Family picnic on film!

Hell! Man! His family were on the downside of "The Great War of
Northern Aggression" because they were lazy, and the "Niggers"
refused to do their work for free!

If they could steal one of those cargo lifters we use at airports,

if they can't get it on a cargo plane, how on earth would they put it

Obama and others have said that North Korea hasn't demonstrated yet an
ability to mate their nuclear warheads to a missile (of which, they have
a bunch, that can hit easily South Korea and Japan - and aren't rocket
science... Just common Russian military rockets..)

HOwever, how can we ever have proof they can do that? We'd have to be on-
site with full access to everything.

We can't know the details of the interior of a missile they launch. We
can monitor the launch well with radar, optical, and monitor telemetry.
We likely can't decrypt the telemetry, and that might not tell us anyway
if a "real" warhead were on the missile... Which, just as likely doesn't
need to be so tested anyway.. Components, yes..

Otherwise, the only way we'd know they have a workable capacity to launch
a functional nuclear warhead on a ballistic missile would be if they
fired one off, and it detonated somewhere along the range, preferably on
some target they designated prior... Won't happen.

The US hasn't done that with our nuclear-armed missiles. In fact, we've
never launched even an ICBM period from an operational base - just from
places like Vandenberg. People would worry about a missile launch from
the US interior, which wouldn't be any risk to anybody anyway... US
Minuteman missile bases are at AFB's in Missouri, Wyoming, North and
South Dakota..

It's been in the press before how some argue we should have tested an
ICBM from an operational base, not just Vandenberg.. They don't because
people would worry, like with napalm going through their community.
Which I imagine is safer than a gasoline tanker..

We have of course launched polaris, poseidon, trident missiles from
operational bases - operational line submarines, in testing.. But
haven't demonstrated to anybody that the nuclear weapons that would be on
them work in that situation.. We've undoubtedly tested components of the
weapons, without real plutonium/tritium cores... But no public proof of
that..

Hopefully, the North Koreans won't do an open air test.. over some open
ocean location.. by missile launch, or aircraft drop.. That'd definitely
get people's attention though..

I doubt shock testing should be that big a deal. They can do rougher
stuff to a device on a test stand, seems to me..

The Pakistanis aren't usually thought of as technically a super competent/
advanced nation, but their nuclear capability sounds pretty advanced.
Surprised me.. If the Wikipedia stuff is accurate..

They've developed a range of weapons, including working on MIRV systems..
Thermonuclear..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pakistan_and_weapons_of_mass_destruction

Anyway, just my thoughts, non-expert.. I'd go with what McCaffrey says.
What the Pentagon study said..

So unworried that we placed missile defense systems on Guam...

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-04-03/u-s-to-deploy-thaad-anti-missile-system-to-guam-pentagon-says.html

North Korea presents a “real and clear danger” to the U.S. and allies in
the region, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said today. Kim Jong Un’s
regime possesses a nuclear weapons capacity as well as the capability to
deliver missiles, Hagel said in his first policy speech as secretary,
delivered at the National Defense University in Washington.
‘Bellicose, Dangerous’

“They’ve ratcheted up their bellicose, dangerous rhetoric, and some of
the actions they’ve taken over the last few weeks present a real and
clear danger and threat to the interests, certainly of our allies”
including South Korea and Japan, Hagel said. He said North Korea also
has leveled threats “directly at the United States regarding our base in
Guam, threatened Hawaii, threatened the West Coast of the United States.”

The U.S. is taking the threat seriously and is engaged in joint
exercises with South Korea as well as working with China to ask its help
in defusing the situation, Hagel said.

The purpose of a SELP is to exercise the ground and airborne command and
control elements, as well as exercise the Peacekeeper Intercontinental
Ballistic Missile up to initiation of the launch eject gas generator.
The data garnered by this test is vital for strategic integrated
operations plan planners and for aging and surveillance purposes.
Besides providing data to U.S. Strategic Command and the ICBM system
program office at Hill AFB, Utah, SELP demonstrates the 90th Space Wing
can execute its warfighting mission.

"The months of preparation and training by maintenance and operations
personnel really showed and allowed us to overcome all obstacles to a
successful test," said Maj. John Anderson, Giant Pace test manager.

I wager you'll not hold the focus for long though.

There is nothing deviant about being gay. On the other hand, the tendency of
conservatives to want to have sex with children is definitely deviant in an
extreme and yet it is a common occurrence in conservative circles. When it
happens within families it is even considered a private family matter that
shouldn't be subject to public comment or scrutiny. It is probably even true
that most conservatives have at least one instance of an ancestor who was
the result of an incestuous relationship.

That depends by what you mean by deviant and children. If by deviant you mean no
other species does that, dolphins become sexually active before maturity. If by
children you include humans with a fully functional reproductive system, other
species count them as adults.

Humans are unusual in that the brain doesn't reach final growth until many years
after sexual maturity. The problem with adults and children is then not
sexuality but psychology: they come into relations with different kinds of
foresight, identity, trust, etc. The immature brains of children require they
depend on adults; that dependence can become an instrument of abuse.

Baal is just another semantic/linguist reference to god. So it is exactly
just as accurate as any other appelation applied to that which cannot be
named. All people are guaranteed to acknowledge god in some form, baal is
just as good as allah, vishnu, pele, etc.

Conservatives, however, are the only creature that has been disavowed by god
as an acknowledged error in judgement.

Sexual maturity has nothing to do with this. We have laws that are intended
to protect children. You just made an argument that it is ok to sexually
exploit children despite laws - you are a sick psychopath.

No. I'm saying that there are existing laws for pedophilia that are being
violated by conservatives and such individuals should be summarily executed
on the spot or as soon as reasonably possible. It is never the underage
individual who is at fault. The perp is always the older person. Beyond
that, conservatives should be thrown in jail for just making the immoral
choice of being a conservative. That is decidedly a crime against nature.

I guarantee you that even though I am not a xtian, I know far more about the
so-called "bible" than you ever will. In my younger years I used to be a
bible-thumper and I even went through the trouble of learning Koine Greek so
that I could do my own translations. For years I immersed myself in study of

Eventually you will learn that you are a fool. You could take steps to

I was smart enough to graduate and leave school. That is more than I can say
for most of the teachers who were still there the year after I graduated and
moved on. Those who cannot do, teach. I was able to do a lot of things and
have had a fairly successful life after leaving school. I really can't say
that of my teachers. One of them got busted for providing illegal drugs to
student athletes. I was certainly much smarter than that teacher. Another
teacher spent several years at my school before wrapping his car around a
power utility pole - that did get him out of the teaching profession,
although the downside is that he is now the resident of a casket. I was
certainly smarter than that teacher because I am over twice as old as he was
when his accident occurred.

Next question.

No. Depending on the source, there are some who say that cooking stuffing
inside a bird (e.g. Turkey, Chicken, etc.) is actually not a good idea. It
is better to cook it separately. Most people cannot tell the difference.
