I perceive the "selfish" as being the people that want/expect things to
be done for them....

I ask NO one for anything, and if I am hungry tonight I will still ask
no one for anything, I "expect" NOTHING from my Brother. If people
can't see my need, advertising it makes little sense. I'll offer to
work or trade but I won't ask for FREE STUFF.

Kids down the block from me come looking for money, so rather than
giving them a dollar to just go away, I offer them a chance to sweep my
driveway, I can see they have some challenges in life, I don't need or
want them to sweep my driveway but I do this for them. Most people in
the neighborhood tell those kids they'll call the police if they come on
their property... Yep, I'm a bad guy.
