Yet ANOTHER Melbourne Captain Cook memorial is toppled
and defaced just two days after Australia Day protests
targeted other city-centre statues

Another Captain Cook monument has been vandalised and
its stone base toppled just two days after Australia
Day protestors targeted other city memorials.

The Captain Cook plaque, which stood at the Rowe Street
entrance to Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy North, Melbourne,
was pushed to the ground on Sunday morning.

Visitors to the park were confronted with the words
'Cook the Colony' spray-painted in red on the toppled
stone base.

A Victoria police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia
an investigation into the vandalism is ongoing.

. . .

There was just a vote, intended to basically put the
few native Australians back in charge of everything.
It failed, despite massive further-left efforts. The
proposed law was SO crappy that even many aboriginals
didn't support it.

This is REVENGE.

Of note, Cook FOUND Australia for the Euros ... but he
did not CONQUER it. He was basically just a 'discoverer'
and quickly moved on. He is not responsible for later
British policy/actions. He MIGHT have been sympathetic,
or not.

At the time, the Brits considered themselves to be the
pinnacle of evolution/civilization. Not an unusual
attitude for imperialists of the time - or ANY time.
Successful conquest kinda feeds the ego ... induces
delusions of grandeur.

The (later) Brits were NOT very kind to the aboriginals.
They were "in the way" and thus forced into the background.
Again, typical - not anything unique to Brits. Note those
aboriginal groups often fought each other too - again not
too kind to the conquered. This seems a "human nature" thing.

Of course the further-left will NOT take a hint. They will
blame the laws failure on anyone but themselves and continue
to portray its failure as something deserving of militant,
eventually lethal, retaliation. This is not the end, just
the start. A defining feature of the further-left is that
their strategy is *persistence* ... rather like the Taliban
or VC. They will just push and push and push - and the body
count will slowly increase until everyone is terrified and
thinks giving-in is the best action.

Not.

Not at all.

I'll be the first to say that the aboriginals got the
shitty end of the stick. However going to the OTHER
extreme is NOT any kind of civil, lasting, fix except
in the minds of fanatical radicals who hope for flames
and death and terror.
