The inclusion of these people will only push more people away from the
church.

BBC:

The Archbishop of Canterbury has expressed his concern at the election
of the second openly gay bishop in the Anglican Church.

Rowan Williams said the move raised "very serious questions" for both
the Episcopal Church in the US and the Anglican Communion as a whole.

Blame them, not the homosexuals. It's not the homosexuals fault that the
church and their deluded flock are homophobic idiots who are probably right
wing, and therefor only motivated by few things. Fear, intolerance and
ignorance. The same qualities that you exhibit daily with your drivel.

The Anglican Church has allowed gay priests for years. Without the sordid
raping of children seen in the "heterosexual" Catholic Church, where priests
aren't allowed to take a wife, so they prey on children instead.

I don't think Catholics have anything cornered. Knowing a few Anglicans
doesn't attract me to their religion, a well practiced sin for six and
repent for one attitude. Or at least the ones I know.

Configure yuor news group reader beter, just shows what kind of ass you are.

The Bible both New and Old Testament strongly condemns homosexuality.
Homosexuals should not be in the church let alone a position of
authority.

The Episcopal church that I grew up when I was a young man, was a very
refined, learned, manly, sophisticated, and deeply religious
organization that stressed ethical values. I am much older now and am
now an deist!

Yeah, we should be allowing rapists, liars, and thieves instead.

Actually the New Testament hardly mentions gays at all. Most of the so-
called quotes are mistranslations (Hint: in the original, there was no
word for "homosexual," so any quote using that word specifically is in
error) or obvious misinterpretations. Jesus never said a word about
gays.

The Old Testament does seem to condemn male homosexual behavior -
right next to its condemnation of shrimp, tattoos, touching a
menstruating woman, and wearing clothes made of two different fibers.
You following all that, or just picking on gays?

My favortie photo recently was a young man with the anti-gay quote
from Leviticus tattooed on his arm. Somehow he missed the adjacent
Leviticus quote against tattoos.

So then explain to me the logic of why we should ban gays from any
"position of authority" while allowing liars, rapists, and thieves to
hold on to them.

LOL!

All the anti-gay quotes in the New Testament come from Paul, not
Jesus. Did anyone stop to think that Paul got it wrong? That he
didn't have the benefit of 2,000 years of study on the subject?

You're the one who jumped in here without a clue about what you were
blathering about for the sole purpose of insulting me. Exactly what a
five year old would do.

Unless you can figure out a good reason for the Catholic church
banning homosexuals from the priesthood while allowing child molesters
to keep their jobs.
