This is about displacement of what's left of Australian working class domination in industry by Third World labor through the Visa system specifically designed for that purpose.
The union dare not say it...
Hi Friend,
It’s crunch time.
Transport workers have issued major transport companies an ultimatum: unless management gives job security guarantees this week, workers are prepared to participate in an industry-wide national strike.
The momentum you’ve helped transport workers build has already sent management back to the bargaining table and forced Toll to finally agree to provide job security protections.
But it shouldn’t have come to this - the Federal Government should have regulated the industry to protect secure transport jobs, but hasn’t. Workers have been left with no choice back to fight back.
Transport workers need your help to get the Federal Government to act. Click here to send Scott Morrison and key Ministers a message that they must step in and end the attacks on secure jobs.
There’s a workable blueprint sitting on the Prime Minister’s desk: a landmark Senate report recommending an independent body to create and enforce minimum standards in transport, which would also tackle the ‘Amazon Effect’ crushing the industry.
It’s time Scott Morrison implemented it.
Whether you’ve signed the Truckie Solidarity petition or shared your solidarity on social media, your ongoing support for transport workers fighting for job security has been incredible so far.
With your support, we’ll keep this momentum going and send a clear message that the transport workers who helped carry Australia through the pandemic deserve better.
In unity,
TWU
