As a reward for 'all of you from across the pond' coming here to this
group, here's a clip of an old Devon resident from a village close to my
home. I thought it amusing, but please tell us what *you* think!

Enjoy!

Do not crosspost to other groups from here. What are you; all dumbs and no smarts?

I wondered who would like to be 'in charge' here.

Well - it's certainly *not* you, Junior!

who is us?

Us? - it is you and me and all the other folk here on Scorched-Earth
(and those in the 'test.here' group too)

A better response would have been for for you to say whether or not you
watched the item and whether or not you liked it.

I once sold this old fella a tuxedo (about 20 years ago, I think) - he
was going to attend a reunion for old soldiers in London. He didn't even
bother to try it on - just said "'twill do"! When Sir Winston Churchill
came down to Devon for shooting, Frank was a 'beater' and was evidently
on first name terms with Sir Winston.

I've also been given the treat of seeing his dozen or so ferrets on the
patch of land he still nurtures nearby!

Do they use ferrets and gerbils interchangeably over there?

Hi Leo :)

We've come home for a few days whilst our narrowboat is having its
bottom blacked in dry dock.

We'll return on Saturday and then spend a week to 10 days taking TJ
gently back to her base near Coventry. Then home again.

It has been a full three months cruise this year - all that time away
from our cottage by the sea!

Now I can't properly remember how to operate this damn Apple machine!!

That's hard to believe, I thought Apple computers were so easy to operate
that even lefties could do it.

Perhaps you are mistaken on this occasion!

I suspect the increasing age of the operator may have an influence too!

I confess I'm just a little surprised by the apparent lack of
interest :(

I spent a few years in England and Scotland, so I have a better than average
appreciation for something like that.

A great thread and video!

Sadly, SeaNymph ignored same then .... and now Frank is dead.

I knew him personally and had handled his animals.

They were wonderful creatures! :-)

Not as far as I'm aware, Ferd.

How are you doing. I often think of you.
