Obama doesn't feel personal about your story.

I feel really sorry for the boy, Allen, had no idea his case was
serious, and I wish him a full recovery. His attackers are a couple of
misguided bastards, I hope that they are caught and severely punished.
He has two positive factors, though, compared with Trayvon Martin:

- There is no need of a nationwide outrage for him to get justice. No
need to suspect miscarriage of justice, no Chief of Police or State
Attorney fired.

- Allen Coon is ALIVE and will recover.

Meanwhile, guess what side I am in this case:

During a recent search, I went into the web page of a Black magazine
where the case of young boy Allen Coon was mentioned. Readers
(obviously Black folks) were outraged, calling the perpetrators
racists and other epithets, giving words of comfort and best wishes to
Allen's mother.

There are so many injustices throughout the course of history, that
even if justice is served, there will always be more hate, prejudice
and violence yet to come. And where are the cries for the other
victims whose perpetrators got away? Life isn't fair.

I beg to differ. As an Internet pioneer, I am proud to have dedicated
a non-trivial part of my life to its creation and development (along
with a cast of thousands). Many things, such as:

- Removal of a Venezuelan president in 1992 (*)
- Arab Spring
- Trayvon Martin
- Monica Lewinsky
- Tiananmen Square (*)
- a very long etcetera

would not have happened without the Internet.

(*) I took part on those.

Allen is a valiant young man, deserving our praise and admiration. He
put off the fire himself and called 911. He spent several hours in the
burns unit at the hospital.

Give it up for Allen!!

And if the white kid had been burned to death would Obama be feeling
his pain?
