My son was an innocent American. In 1981 Ryo Oizumi (His current
name) born Leo Owen Lapp, had a passport application made and a
passport issued to him after his birth. At the time the Japanese
Government did not issue citizenship to children of foreign fathers
and Japanese women. Hiroko Oizumi falsified his birth certificate,
destroyed his American passport and registered him as a stateless
person seeking Japanese citizenship. He needs to know that his
passport application and passport wait for him at the U.S. Embassy in
Tokyo.
