Guess this means I'm crazy...
The TorHavn Project
Network, a collection of new agers, intentional communities, and new
country projects, as well as support organizations and groups for
same, will meet in Malibu, to discuss strategy, and showcase their
efforts, and brainstorm.
TorHavn will be there. I will have 100 copies of a flyer I put
together once, touting TorHavn as the next ecovillage of the West. I
will talk about Elko, NV, point out our strategy to make Microna
eco-friendly, and take ideas, advice and perhaps one or two
(non-deductible) donations. If I'm luck (on that last one). Anything
is possible.
Will I say the word "micronation"? Depends, but the words "new
country project" have already been used. We will talk about
warriorship and ecology, and the ideas about sanitation, conservation,
sustainability and education innovations.
Am I scared? Maybe, but that's healthy. No good warrior ever stays
unafraid, if she's smart. Am I excited? Of course I am --- I would
do anything to tout TorHavn, anywhere it's possible.
I have joined this and other groups before, all in the hopes of
gaining members (who will become citizens, if we're lucky, and help
build TorHavn as an intentional community if nothing else), if we're
even luckier.
Am I crazy? Like a fox! Grants are given to intentional communities
that showcase ecosystems and new ways to do things. Tours can be
given, and we can build towards our own space. And it can't be any
worse than the Amerindian groups that have "dual sovereignty," can it?
Think of the possibilities.....
I know *I* do. So: everyone --- wish me luck. I will carry all those
serious to take a chance with me, in spirit if nothing else.
