Having our own gay independent State wouldn`t mean casting our
demographic assets all in one
place.It wouldn`t be sound strategicaly or geopoliticaly.It would
prove impractical anyway.The
gay population living in hethro countries would continue to renew
itself as it did in past centuries.
And only a fraction of it would move to a gay country and independent
State.For one,there would
remain a sector of the gay diaspora which would oppose anyway to the
idea of a gay independent State.Most gays would in all likelyhood
regard such a State as some sort of insurance against bad days on the
hethro side,but yet wouldn`t move to it.The benefit of a
continuing diaspora in hethro countries,and to a gay independent
State,is that it would have
thus eyes and ears in every corner of this planet.And not necessarily
and only for the sole
political benefit of such a State.In its dealings with foreign hethro
countries,a gay State would
need a definite advantage over them and in the form of a diaspora
which none of them enjoys
to the same extent.What the gay community doesn`t possesses in terms
of numbers,it would
have to compensate in political information about other
countries.Which could be of interest
to some of those countries.States aren`t charities,and hethro
countries would deal with a gay
independent State only if such a State had something which they cannot
have of obtain except
through dealings and exchanges.A gay independent State would renew its
population solely
through immigration,and would thus need some staging and transit areas
in not too unfriendly
hethro countries.And this would not be granted,unless such a State
offered something in
exchange,that is a share in its political information about other
countries obtained by way of
its diaspora.
