MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough claimed on Sunday that "media bias" was the
reason people seemed to favor Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) over sitting Vice
President Kamala Harris.

The "Morning Joe" host argued that the media often gave much more favorable
coverage to DeSantis than to Harris, complaining that the Vice President had
not been the subject of a positive profile piece in a year.

"MEDIA BIAS ALERT: Kamala Harris hasn't had a positive profile in a year.
DeSantis sneezes and he's framed as the rising star of politics. And yet the
Great White Hope STILL loses is every head-to-head matchup with Harris. The
VP also draws even with Trump," Scarborough tweeted.

Scarborough shared a FloridaPolitics.com article detailing the results of a
recent Harvard/Harris poll -- which did show Harris beating Governor DeSantis
in a potential one-on-one contest, but also showed Trump besting both
President Joe Biden and Harris. Trump topped the list as "most favorable"
political figure in that poll as well -- followed closely by former Vice
President Mike Pence and independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders -- and
bested Biden by three points in overall favorability and Harris by six.

Scarborough did not mention those numbers, however, and instead followed his
initial tweet with a screenshot of a recent YouGov poll that showed Biden
beating both DeSantis and Trump. In that poll, Harris also bested DeSantis
but broke even when matched up against Trump.

"Here's a recent poll showing Biden beating DeSantis and Trump. Newsom
beating DeSantis and Trump, Harris beating DeSantis and drawing with Trump,"
he tweeted.

"Here's my takeaway: DeSantis will melt under the national spotlight, Trump
is damaged goods, and Republicans are so extreme they're chasing voters away
who don't consider themselves Democrats. This 2022 election is far more
competitive at this stage than it should be," Scarborough continued.

"And two years is a lifetime," he concluded, predicting that even if Trump
were able to win a 2024 Republican primary, he would not win a general
election. "Trump may be ahead of DeSantis in primary matchups (though I'm
skeptical he would beat him) but Trump will not win a general election in
2024. DeSantis can, Youngkin can, and several other Republicans can. Not
Trump."
