The implementation of the new TSA passenger screening policy is indicative of just how politically correct and moronic our
society is becoming.
When Americans fly, we can now choose between being photographed in the nude and being fondled. Yet since 9/11, America has
been attacked in the air only by radical Muslim males. Therefore, Homeland Security has concluded that we should search
80-year-old grandma’s bra lines.
What kind of country are we becoming when our citizens are forced to endure such invasive searches without due process in an
effort to appease the very group of people who are seeking to destroy our country?
Instead of calling out the real threat, Islamic radicalism, American policy is turning to the politically correct and untrue
assumption that everyone is a suspected terrorist. Of course, it is not unusual to find enactments of political correctness
accompanied by untruths.
It is slowly becoming evident that this administration is more concerned with presenting an illusion of equality and fairness
than it is with the safety of the American public. Unfortunately, the logic in this policy is lacking. Americans know that
Muslim men attacked us on 9/11, the underwear bomber was a radical Muslim man, the army base shooter was a radical Muslim,
and there have been numerous attempts by radical Muslim men since 9/11 to harm Americans.
So while terrorists visit the State Department, America gives access to our court system to suspected terrorists, CAIR gains
influence with Democratic law makers, and mosques are built next to the 9/11 World Trade Center, Americans once again fall
victim to the terrorists at the hands of our own government. Even worse is that our government is refusing to call a spade a
spade.
Young white men are statistically more likely to be serial killers than Eskimo women between the ages of 60 and 72. Yet why
are law enforcement officials refusing to investigate these women each time a serial killer is suspected? The answer is
obvious, and the strategies surrounding profiling help to catch these brutal killers.
Americans know that the problem isn’t hijacking, the government knows, and the government knows that Americans know. The
problem of terrorist threats consists of radical Muslim men.
The sooner our government wakes up and recognizes the problem that everyone knows exists, the sooner America will emerge
safer and stronger.
Even if you disagree with profiling, when Americans are forced to be viewed naked or searched in the most intimate of places
when there is a viable, more practical, and more effective way of using resources and ensuring safety, forcing honest
Americans selected at random to invasive searches is absurd.
But take comfort, America. Children under the age of 12 are not subject to the search. Radical Muslim men can now bring their
children with them, arm them with explosives, and blow us up anyway.

Very good article. There is such a outcry when profiling is mentioned as a way to pick out these terrorists. But profiling
works. These people have earned it. All one needs to do is a little bit of research into the past to find out exactly how
these people have acted for the last 1400 years. The history lesson learned says it all. People just need to do their
homework. The government is clueless when it comes to really knowing what those under islam are up too. The problem is, the
government's ignorance or refusal to recognize the danger of this religion puts the people of this nation in grave peril.

Thomas Sowell wrote a piece today that included the dreaded TSA
experiment. In his article, he pointed out the fact that the only
people terrorists would rather kill than Americans are the Jews. Yet,
no problems with airplane terrorists in Israel.
They don't scan, feel up little boys and girls, run them through the
XXX-ray machine, and yet, never had a problem.
Why the success? Because they racial profile. Anybody that looks the
slightest bit suspicious gets taken out of line, questioned, has their
luggage physically searched, and only then are allowed to board a plane.
They pretty much leave anybody else who does not look Arab to walk right
through.
So terrorists make no attempts at bombing or hijacking one of their
planes because they understand they will be had from the minute they
walk into the airport.

For all the bloviating over full-body scans and enhanced gropes at the
airports, an anticipated opt-out protest largely fizzled at Sea-Tac
Wednesday. Security checkpoint lines moved quickly, travelers quietly
submitted to full body scans, and only five protesters showed up at
noon to pass out leaflets.
The scene was part of "National Opt-Out Day," in which activists
encouraged air travelers across the country to forgo full body scans
during the pre-Thanksgiving travel crush on Wednesday.
It was supposed to be a statement against the new security measure,
which displays a naked image to a screener, and a way of gumming up
the system. Travelers have the option of skipping a body scan, but
must instead walk through a metal detector and submit to "enhanced pat
down."
Those options -- body scan, or pat down that involves the touching of
breasts and genitals -- have ignited health concerns over the X-ray
technology and complaints of privacy invasion. Combined with the
snowstorm that paralyzed Seattle earlier this week, anger over the
body scans had had airport officials bracing for potential chaos.
But by mid-day Wednesday, lines were moving quickly at Sea-Tac, which
has 14 body scanners at four checkpoints. Airport spokesman Perry
Cooper said the Transportation Security Administration had increased
its number of staffers in anticipation of the holiday rush and
protest, which meant more staffers at checkpoints and shorter lines.
The airport had been expecting 89,000 travelers Wednesday, but Cooper
said the weather had prompted many people to come extra early, which
meant fewer crowds at any given time.
"It's been really smooth," he said. As of 12:30 p.m., he said there
had been no delays or problems in security.
Activist Rachel Hawkridge said she came to the airport with leaflets
to help inform passengers of TSA's screening measures. The title on
her leaflets was: "Informed consent - Cancer causing X-ray or sexual
battery?"
"I don't think being sexually molested or having nude photos of you
should be a prerequisite to fly," said Hawkridge, who is 47 and from
Kenmore. She said a recent flight to and from Memphis was her last.
"Until things change," she said.
But it was slow going. At Checkpoint 3, she smiled at hurried
travelers and said, "Hi, are you flying today? Would you like some
information."
Behind her, travelers wended their way to a checkpoint, where person
after person lifted their arms in front of scanner before heading to
their gate. More reporters had showed up looking for a story than
protesters.
"Uh, I get plenty of that from the Internet," one man told Hawkridge.
Several more waved her off.
But a few people took her flyer, and she considered her goal
accomplished.
"I'm here to tell people they should be informed," she said.

Air travel was flowing smoothly at midday Thursday, the Thanksgiving
holiday, after feared delays from protesters boycotting advanced body
scanners failed to materialize on the busier Wednesday travel day.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported no travel delays at major
airports on its website Thursday, despite a swath of ice, snow, rain
and thunderstorms forecast across the nation.
Flightstats.com, a website that tracks flights and weather, reported
Thursday that ice was forecast in disparate cities including Seattle;
Portland, Ore.; Chicago; St. Louis; Memphis, Tenn.; and Philadelphia.
Thunderstorms were in the mix for Dallas, Houston and Cincinnati,
while rain was forecast for the Middle Atlantic and New England
states. Flightstats said snow was expected in Minneapolis, Detroit and
Cleveland.
A spokesman for United Continental Holdings Inc. said the outlook for
Thursday looked good, with nothing expected to disrupt the schedule.
Thanksgiving is the slowest travel day of the 12-day holiday travel
period that began Nov. 19. Sunday and Monday are expected to be the
busiest days.
A Delta Air Lines Inc. spokesman said the weather forecast Thursday
isn't expected to have a significant effect on its operations.
Passenger volume drops off dramatically this afternoon after the
morning rush, he said. If needed, Delta will de-ice airplanes at its
Minneapolis and Detroit hubs later today. Rain ended in Atlanta, its
biggest hub.
On Wednesday, planned passenger boycotts of new airport screening
procedures fizzled out. An Internet-spawned grass-roots campaign
suggested passengers slow down airport security by requesting lengthy
pat downs, but there were no reports of security delays due to
passengers balking at walking through the refrigerator-size body
scanners.
Currently, there are 385 of the advanced imaging technology screening
machines in use at 68 U.S. airports.
George Donnelly, one of the organizers of the Opt Out day boycott,
said Wednesday that his group hadn't received any reports of
significant opt-outs. He said the group will continue its efforts
after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Spokespersons for Delta and the United Airlines and Continental
Airlines units of United Continental Holdings separately said
Wednesday that their respective airport personnel weren't reporting
any security delays due to the protest.
Public backlash against the new scanners, and the enhanced pat-down
procedures used as secondary screening, erupted earlier this month
even though the machines have been steadily installed at airports this
year, partly as a response to the attempted Christmas Day bombing in
2009 of a Detroit-bound jetliner. The protest has been fueled by
Internet videos of bad experiences at airport checkpoints and by
television comedy sketches.
But a majority of Americans seem to support the new security measures,
especially people who don't fly frequently. About two-thirds of
Americans support the use of the new full-body scanners, according to
recently conducted polls by Gallup and Washington Post-ABC News. A
Zogby poll released Tuesday, on the other hand, showed that 61% of
respondents opposed the scanners and new pat downs.

identification yesterday at Honolulu Airport. The American Civil
Liberties Union and volunteers were at the airport yesterday in
response to the new TSA security regulations that require passengers
to either be checked using the advanced imaging technology - new
clothes-penetrating scanners, or new, more-intrusive body pat-downs.

Despite the national controversy over air passenger security
screening, operations at Honolulu Airport went smoothly yesterday, one
of the year's busiest travel days.
There were some fears expressed that an Internet-launched boycott of
the body scanners -- dubbed "National Opt-Out Day" -- would worsen the
usual travel crunch on Thanksgiving eve.
But many departing travelers yesterday appeared to opt for the full-
body scanner, rather than subject themselves to a pat-down by
Transportation Security Administration agents.
By most accounts nationally, lines moved smoothly and there was no
more or less congestion at major U.S. airports than in previous years.
"Status quo right now; we don't see anything significantly different
from last Thanksgiving," said Glen Kajiyama, TSA security director at
Honolulu Airport. "We want to thank the public for their partnership
and their patience. They're the most critical link in this whole
process."
Kajiyama said that earlier in the month there were some travelers
asking about what the new measures entailed.
"But once we explain it to the passengers, they're pretty comfortable
with it," he said.
The most visible sign of resistance yesterday came from members of the
American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii, who were at the overseas
terminal handing out informational fliers and stickers that declare,
"I object! No naked scans, no groping."
"The American public should have a say in what happens to us,
particularly when we're looking at national security and balancing
that with our right to privacy," ACLU attorney Laurie Temple said.
"There should've been some public input."
Tex Hall, a federal contractor who was flying home to Marlow, Okla.,
from Honolulu, called the searches "ridiculous" and a waste of the
federal government's efforts.
"I thought it was a bunch of garbage that you can't profile somebody,"
Hall said. "If you spend too much time, energy, effort on searching
everyone every way, you haven't focused your search procedures where
they need to be on, where you can get the biggest bang for your buck."
Caron McCorvey, who was catching a flight back to Atlanta, said she
was scanned, then searched. She said she was upset that TSA agents
didn't tell her why they also had to pat her down.
She said she cooperated because she just wanted to get to her
destination. She said she has mixed feelings about the searches.
"I want us to be safe flying, but I think some things are a little
ridiculous," McCorvey said.
