running the federal government being in deep doo-doo, after so many
other doo-doos of late, over the Senator pay-off deal and interference
with the CRTC, the Canadian equivalent of the FCC, in "advising" that
the neutral body allow a right wingnut news channel secure a top-tier
spot on cable TV systems, forcing an added cost to consumers who
really don't want it, it's not looking good for them right wingnuts.
This has all even tainted the right wingnut prime minister's office
now, since there's a direct connection between one of the two right
wingnut Senators in hot water and the PM's right hand man, so we might
see the right wingnut party go down in flames soon if this blows out
of proportion. By the looks of it, more unanswered questions keep
popping up as to who, what, where, when, why and how? But that's the
great thing about Canada, a government can fall as a result of a nasty
scandal and there's no waiting around till the term is over for it to
happen, so while the wingnuts are technically in till 2015, that's
essentially irrelevant if it gets to the point of Parliament calling a
vote of no confidence tomorrow. I might be too optimistic about it
happening, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen over the
course of the summer and an election is called much sooner than 2015,
even though we just had one two years ago.
