The future of the White Race is in peril because of Mexicans.
It's time to say it like it is:
ALL MEXICANS ARE ILLEGALS.

Take a hike, moron.

>It's time to say it like it is:
>ALL MEXICANS ARE ILLEGALS.
This statement is false....not all Mexican's are illegal's. Many had the
pride and honor in them to apply and come to this country legally, and
become Americans.
It is an insult to these fine Mexican's who came here legally for border
jumpers that come over here, abuse the system, and to demand rights they
do not deserve.
"Most illegals are Mexicans."
Agree? Disagree?
PBS had some fascinating, never before shown to the "public," color movie
footage of World War II which was aired this evening. What was most
striking to me was that North Africa in the '40s was part of Europe, filled
with White people with beautiful, First World cities -- and not the Third
World, dirty shit hole that one sees today. Apparently, La Raza has similar
designs for North America.
Points taken.
Within the United States, yes.
Exactly who is this "La Raza" you paranoid conspiracy theorists keep
blabbering on about?
Please, take your meds and return back to reality.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Raza
La Raza is a Spanish-language term (literally meaning "the race", but also
connoting "el pueblo" or "la gente", both of which mean "the people"), which
refers generally to the people of Latin America who share the cultural and
political legacies of Spanish colonialism, including the Spanish language
and culture, and their descendants.
It is very roughly analogous to the English-language terms "Hispanic" or
"Chicano", in that it attempts to define/describe a group of people with a
common (Spanish-speaking) cultural heritage, despite the wide variations
among those cultures.
The term "La Raza" may also encompass a racial significance associated with
"mestizaje", or race-mixing. In this sense, the term is inclusive of the
Indigenous peoples of the Americas, the descendants of African peoples
brought to Latin America as slaves, European immigrants, as well as the
racial identities that comprise the Iberian peninsula - and all the mixtures
among them
> Please, take your meds and return back to reality.

Insult noted. Fuck you too!
This anti-illegal alien thing is not an anti-immigrant thing. I know it is
hard for "you people" to grasp the difference. This anti-illegal alien
thing is a result of Hispanics having to flee Mexico to escape the shitty
life that Hispanics must endure in Hispanic countries, apparently. Mexicans
treat each other so badly that they need to pay their life savings to a
criminal human smuggler to escape the poverty, racism, and oppression of the
Latino nation of Mexico. This has become our problem here in the US
through no fault of our own. You probably are aware of that though.
> Please, take your meds and return back to reality.
That's it... let it all out... let out all the HATE!
It is a known fact.
That is a false statement, however
the following statement is accurate,
"Most Mexicans are NOT illegal", and how could
they be, given most are Native American !

Not I

~ ~ Hardman, are you paying attention? ~ ~
There has been a percentage figure on the % of illegals who are, in
fact, "Mexicans". I have seen it published twice in local Washington
newspapers.
The percentage of illegal aliens in the US, who are Mexicans, has been
reported as SEVENTY PERCENT! It is believed that recent arrivals of the
past 10 years are a large part of the 70%.figure.

>>"Most illegals are Mexicans."
>>Agree? Disagree?
Bongo Jim ...that is the problem with people like Chicanohistory, they
never want the truth. He can't except the fact that he is asking a
stupid question. Because not all Mexican's are illegal, just the ones
that are here illegally are illegal.
Now if he asked if are most Mexican's that jump the border illegals then
the answer would be quite different. It would be Yes, most Mexican's
that come arcross the border illegally are illegals.
But then he is also not asking about other nationalities of illegals
either, just Mexican's. But if he was asking about other illegals as
well as Mexican's, then the answer would still be the same. Yes most
Mexican that come here illegally are illegals. Simply because Mexican's
are the largest group of illegals that come to this country illegally.
Any one coming to this country, without following the requirements to be
here, no matter where they come from is an illegal.
An a visa, holder that is here legally, and lets there visa status
expire, is also an illegal, even tho they came here legally.
The Truth About 'La Raza'
by Rep. Charlie Norwood

The nation's television screens many days recently have been filled with
scenes of huge crowds carrying the colorful green and red flag of Mexico
viewers could well have thought it was a national holiday in Mexico
City.
It was instead, downtown Los Angeles, Calif., although the scene was
recreated in numerous other cities around the country with substantial
Mexican populations. Hordes of Mexican expatriates, many here illegally,
were protesting the very U.S. immigration laws they were violating with
impunity. They found it offensive and a violation of their rights that
the U.S. dared to have immigration laws to begin with.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa mounted the podium, but any hopes
that he would quiet the crowds and defend the law were soon dashed.
Villaraigosa, himself, has spent a lifetime opposing U.S. immigration
law.
For law-abiding Americans without knowledge of the dark side of our
current illegal immigration crisis, all this is unfathomable. For those
who know the truth about the "La Raza" movement, these demonstrations
were a prophecy fulfilled.
It is past time for all Americans to know what is at the root of this
outrageous behavior, and the extent to which the nation is at risk
because of "La Raza" -- The Race.
There are many immigrant groups joined in the overall "La Raza"
movement. The most prominent and mainstream organization is the National
Council de La Raza -- the Council of "The Race".
To most of the mainstream media, most members of Congress, and even many
of their own members, the National Council of La Raza is no more than a
Hispanic Rotary Club.
But the National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2
million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in
U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed
amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political
positions.
The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional
hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous
senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in
earmarked taxpayer money, supposedly for "housing reform," while La Raza
continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for
illegal aliens.
The Mexican flag flew over a crowd of pro-amnesty marchers in New York.
Marches like this across the U.S. have been supported by the “La
Raza” movement. (Reuters/Seth Wenig)
Radical 'Reconquista' Agenda Behind the respectable front of the
National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza
movement, the agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants
in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly
defying our laws, and demanding concessions.
Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group
Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of
Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country,
which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its
push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.
One of America's greatest strengths has always been taking in immigrants
from cultures around the world, and assimilating them into our country
as Americans. By being citizens of the U.S. we are Americans first, and
only, in our national loyalties.
This is totally opposed by MEChA for the hordes of illegal immigrants
pouring across our borders, to whom they say:
"Chicano is our identity; it defines who we are as people. It rejects
the notion that we...should assimilate into the Anglo-American melting
pot...Aztlan was the legendary homeland of the Aztecas ... It became
synonymous with the vast territories of the Southwest, brutally stolen
from a Mexican people marginalized and betrayed by the hostile
custodians of the Manifest Destiny." (Statement on University of Oregon
MEChA Website, Jan. 3, 2006)
MEChA isn't at all shy about their goals, or their views of other races.
Their founding principles are contained in these words in "El Plan
Espiritual de Aztlan" (The Spiritual Plan for Aztlan):
"In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud
historical heritage but also of the brutal gringo invasion of our
territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern
land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of
their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun,
declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and
our inevitable destiny. ... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds,
water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans.
.. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world,
before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze
continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are
Aztlan. For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada."
That closing two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal
rights for all. It says: "For The Race everything. Outside The Race,
nothing."
If these morally sickening MEChA quotes were coming from some fringe
website, Americans could at least console themselves that it was just a
small group of nuts behind it. Nearly every racial and ethnic group has
some shady characters and positions in its past and some unbalanced
individuals today claiming racial superiority and demanding separatism.
But this is coming straight from the official MEChA sites at Georgetown
University, the University of Texas, UCLA, University of Michigan,
University of Colorado, University of Oregon, and many other colleges
and universities around the country.
MEChA was in fact reported to be one of the main organizers of those
street demonstrations we witnessed over the past weeks. That helps
explain why those hordes of illegal immigrants weren't asking for
amnesty -- they were demanding an end to U.S. law, period. Unlike past
waves of immigrants who sought to become responsible members of American
society, these protesters reject American society altogether, because
they have been taught that America rightfully belongs to them.
MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona,
Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an
area known as "Aztlan" -- a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs
before Europeans arrived in North America. As such, it belongs to the
followers of MEChA. These are all areas America should surrender to "La
Raza" once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim a
majority, as in Los Angeles. The current borders of the United States
will simply be extinguished.
This plan is what is referred to as the "Reconquista" or reconquest, of
the Western U.S. But it won't end with territorial occupation and
secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic
cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of
"Aztlan."
As Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter has been quoted
as saying: "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism
would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing
would commence:
Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled -- opposition groups would be
quashed because you have to keep power."
MEChA Plants Members of these radical, anti-American, racist
organizations are frequently smoothly polished into public
respectability by the National Council of La Raza.
Former MEChA members include Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who
was officially endorsed by La Raza for mayor and was awarded La Raza's
Graciela Olivarez Award. Now we know why he refuses to condemn a sea of
foreign flags in his city. California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is also a
former MEChA member. He delivered the keynote address at La Raza's 2002
Annual Convention.
The National Council of La Raza and its allies in public office make no
repudiation of the radical MEChA and its positions. In fact, as recently
as 2003, La Raza was actively funding MEChA, according to federal tax
records.
Imagine Robert Byrd's refusing to disavow the views of the KKK, or if
Strom Thurmond had failed to admit segregation was wrong. Imagine
Heritage or Brookings Foundation making grants to the American Nazi
Party.
Is the National Council of La Raza itself a racist organization?
Regardless of the organization's suspect ties, the majority of its
members are not. When one examines all the organization's activities,
they are commendable non-profit projects, such as education and housing
programs.
But even these defensible efforts raise the question of whether
education and housing programs funded with federal tax dollars should be
used in programs specifically targeted to benefit just one ethnic group.
La Raza defenders usually respond by calling anyone making these
allegations "a racist" for having called attention to La Raza's racist
links. All the groups and public officials with ties to the La Raza
movement can take a big step towards disproving these allegations by
simply following the examples of Senators Byrd and Thurmond and
repenting of their past ways.
If they are unwilling to admit past misdeeds, they can at least state --
unequivocally -- that they officially oppose the racist and
anti-American positions of MEChA, and any other groups that espouse
similar views.
Through public appearances, written statements, and on their respective
websites, La Raza groups and allies must:
1. Denounce the motto "For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada," as
repugnant, racist, and totally incompatible with American society or
citizenship.
2. Acknowledge the right of all Americans to live wherever they choose
in the U.S. without segregation.
3. Commit to sponsorship of nationwide educational programs to combat
racism and anti-Semitism in the Hispanic community.
4. Denounce and sever all ties with MEChA and any other organizations
with which they have ever been associated which held to the racist
doctrines held by MEChA.
5. Acknowledge the internationally recognized borders of the U.S., the
right of the citizens of the U.S. to determine immigration policy
through the democratic process, and the right of the U.S. to undertake
any and all necessary steps to effectively enforce immigration law and
defend its border against unauthorized entry.
6. Repudiate all claims that current American territory rightfully
belongs to Mexico.
If the National Council of La Raza, other La Raza groups, and local and
national political leaders with past ties and associations with the
radical elements of the La Raza movement can publicly issue such a
statement and live by every one of these principles, they should be
welcomed into the American public policy arena, with past sins -- real
or imaginary -- forgiven.
If they cannot publicly and fully support these principles, Congress
needs to take appropriate steps and immediately bar any group refusing
to comply from receiving any future federal funds.
Both the House and Senate should strike these groups from testifying
before any committees, and the White House should sever all ties. Both
political parties should disengage from any further contact with these
groups and individuals.
There are plenty of decent, patriotic Hispanic organizations and elected
officials to provide Congress with necessary feedback on specific issues
confronting Americans of Latino heritage. Any group or individual who
can agree with the simple six points should be welcomed into that fold.
If not, the American people will know there's a wolf in their midst, and
take the necessary precautions to defend our Republic against an enemy
This Latino gentleman, if we can honor him with that title, states that
with the aging of the white population in California, he doubts whether
the Latinos — who he says are taking back the state — will want to
continue carrying the older Whites on their backs. Of course, by
"Latinos" we know he means activist Marxist Hispanics and the illegals
they are exploiting for their socialist goals. The majority of
Hispanics, naturally, the loyal Hispanic Americans, don't count.
But isn't his statement interesting? Especially the "continue" part of
it. Those of us who are over forty, and not afflicted with Alzheimer's,
remember that until very recently, i.e., until the illegal invasion from
south of the Rio, the overwhelming majority of citizens of this state
were white. And they paid most of the taxes.
The very taxes that are paying for the services our illegal friends are
receiving free of charge.
How is it, then, that they are "continuing" to carry anyone, white,
black, brown, or otherwise? God forbid that any of us, white or
otherwise, should ever have to depend on them to "carry us on their
backs." Even though, if we allow them to stay, maybe they owe us a debt
of gratitude for letting them come here from the squalor of their
homeland and receive free medical care, education, welfare, and other
public services — which, by the way, whether you're a legal or illegal
alien, are still paid for primarily by that "cancer on the side of
humanity," white European Americans.
We've all heard about the dog that bites the hand that feeds it, maybe
we've even had such a dog at home. How is the Latino author of the above
statement any different? And he's right here in our home, our state, and
a disgrace to his Hispanic heritage. He probably learned his Marxism in
Chicano Studies 101 at one of our liberated State Colleges. If they give
any grades at all, I'll wager he got an A — like everyone else in his
class, even those who didn't attend.
Despite his successes at Chicano State, our "Latino" friend and those
like him became stunted at around thirteen — you know, the age where
you mock everything, reason be damned. For example, why is he proud of
his Latino, or Hispanic, heritage but then condemns the Whites? Weren't
the Latins and Spaniards white? Yes, and I think they still are.
Weren't they as guilty of cruelty in the settlement of the Americas as
the Anglos and all the rest? Yes, they were — except in the Marxist
history books at La Raza State.
Or if he identifies with the American Indian part of his heritage (who
were equally cruel to each other and the Whites), then why does he call
himself Hispanic? The man is definitely confused, yet he and his ilk are
trying to take over our state — and the entire Southwest.
What is to be gained, I ask, by taking over the Southwest and turning it
into another El Salvador, or even a Tijuana? The border to the southern
paradises is close; so if that's what you want, why not just stay there,
or return there? It would save us all a lot of trouble
Some one told me that the "Hispanics" were going to take over and make
things like in the old days under the Aztecs, etc. I asked him what he
thought of sacrificing innocent virgins on the alter of some pagan god
or of a return to squalor under some Aztlan king.. He said that didn't
matter; for we, i.e., the Whites, would be gone, and they, i.e., the
"Hispanics," would be in power.
I tried to reason with him, but the man was obviously a fanatic, a
certified racist lunatic (didn't Hitler want a return to worship of
pagan Germanic gods?). But our "Latino" friend should spare himself the
trouble; I'll gladly pay his fare to the Latin American jungle of his
choice. It's all there waiting for him, ready made. Even the sacrificial
altars are still intact, so maybe he should leave his daughters here.
Please, give us a break!
What a hoax, "Reconquista" they call it, and "Aztlan." What is it these
self appointed "reconquistadores" are going to "re"conquer? Are they the
descendants of the native California Indians? How could they be if
they're from south of the border? Those were different Indians down
there, many of them hostile toward the California tribes. Or were their
forefathers the Spanish settlers, the Alvarados, Picos, Verdugos, or
Dominguezes of early California? Hardly.
The descendants of the Spanish settlers have long become loyal Americans
who contribute much to our society.
So how can brown racists like our "Latino" friend take back what they
never had in the first place? What they really have in mind is conquest,
not re-conquest. Their virulent hatred of the white man belies their
claim that racism is limited to Whites; in fact, the Klan could learn a
thing or two from them. And if you buy into their illogic, you are more
deranged than they are.
In reality, if they have their way, what we will have here is not a
return to some idyllic paradise of the Indian past but a tyrannic
People's Democratic Republic of Aztlan, where we will, Hispanics and
Indians as well, live on an all-inclusive government reservation under
the boot of Big Brother.
Friends, Hispanics or whoever you are: It's time to get real. It's time
to leave "Aztlan" and other "people's liberation" fantasies to the wiles
of Hollywood, the media, the feds, the state colleges, and other fonts
of Mexican Marxist delusion.
We don't need them to show us truth. God and common sense will do that.
If we are to have a "re-conquest" of anything, let it be of the American
Republic, where Hispanics and all of us can enjoy our Constitutional
rights as free, individual American citizens.
> the Anglo-American
My own ancestry is American of Swedish heritage, I'm
certainly not anglo. I do have a small amount of "English"
ancestry, but they are descendant from Scotland to England
to the USofA.
So Please do Not refer to me as "anglo". Thank You!
There is no La Raza 5th column.
There is no Mecha beyond a decentralized network of shit-talking
college students.
Where is this "La Raza" with its fabled might?
Only in the fantasies of Art Bell radio fans
who also believe in Area 51.
It's amusing.
Native Americans are therefore paying their life savings to human smugglers
to take them out of their Native American Mexico to a White nation, i.e, the
U.S. How ironic.
It is not a white vs mexican thing..
It's a legal citizen vs lawless illegal and declining standard of
living thing.
It's an "American" vs "Illegal" thing.
Most Americans are White
and that most "illegals" are supposedly Mexicans.
But we can't say that outright or else it looks racist doesn't it?
Thank goodness for code words!

You were going fine until here. Area 51 does exist, it is very real, and is
a no-fly zone, something anyone who is a pilot or a traveler knows.
The station plays regional Mexican music and is totally apolitical. All
"raza" means in this context is "the station of the people."
Which "people"? Why, the Mexican people, of course... the rest of us
aren't good enough to be considered "people", in these folks' minds.
Sorry to say it, but it is true. Racism is so engrained in these
folks' minds, they don't see a problem with it.
This is even WORSE than I thought.
Yes, it is. I have always thought that being monolingual is a horrible state
to be in, but your posts show it to be evil. Languages do not translate 100%
literally. There will always be some fuzziness and an inability to totally
translate with perfection the writings and speech of one language to
another.
I gave an approximate translation... "the people's station" means it is a
station for "people like me..." or "people with my background." It's a
friendly, non-aggressive term you are trying to make confrontational. It is
not. It simply DOES NOT translate as the "race station."

Actually Stewart, racism is so ingrained in the AMERICAN mind, you just
can't think outside such parameters. Whereas in more or less racially
homogeneous countries like Mexico we don't think much about race, you
Americans simply can't stop thinking about it; it's a fundamental
aspect of your national identity.
As usual, Zerge is like 50 years behind everybody else (except the
republican conservatives).
There are numbers that prove that the racial attitude towards each
other in the USA has substantially improved. We of course, need to do a
lot more, but the situation is encouraging.
The Tancredos and Dobbs are (trying to be) a big step backwards.

A national Mexican postage stamp recently brought forth Mexico's
racism. The stamp depicts an exaggerated black cartoon character known
as Memin Pinguin, drawn with exaggerated features, thick lips and
wide-open eyes. His appearance, speech and mannerisms are the subject
of kidding by white characters in the comic book, which started in the
1940s and is still published in Mexico.
The stamp was issued just weeks after remarks by President Vicente Fox
angered black Americans. In May, Fox riled many by saying Mexican
migrants take jobs in the United States that "not even blacks"
want.
"One would hope the Mexican government would be a little more careful
and avoid continually opening wounds," said Sergio Penalosa, an
activist in Mexico's small black community on the southern Pacific
coast. Penalosa said many Mexicans still assume all blacks are
foreigners, despite the fact that at one point early in the Spanish
colonial era, Africans outnumbered Spanish in Mexico.
Nah, there's no racism in Mexico.

Stupid SHIT. I speak spanish perfectly well... AND some Chinese... I
know EXACTLY how the Mexicans treat THEIR black people. You really
are a lying piece of SHIT, you know that?
You can speak for the people we call "liberals" on that score, not for
Americans. Most of us are not especially interested in it, no more
than people in other countries with mixed race. These political
liberals are absolutely obsessed with race. Look at them here on
usenet, what is virtually every post about? Calling someone a racist.
They are obsessed with race in precisely the same fashion that a
strict religious sectarian is obsessed about the way others worship.
In fact you'd find that most of these pro-illegal American posters
really don't give much of a damn about immigration, they are generally
dim and uninformed about it. They are here with the sole purpose
seeking out strangers to call "racist".
This is not the mind of most Americans, it is not an intrisically
American thing. If it ever was it certainly is not anymore. Rather it
is an appearance created by this loud, obsessed minority.
Since you speak spanish, could you give the rest of us a run down on
what's going on in this Aztlan video?
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?print=yes&id=13863
Ramon & Davey say it's just some nutjobs that this TV station is
exposing as such. Is this the case, or is the reporter/TV station
taking the Aztlaner seriously?
Thanks.
Not to mention, of course, the plethora of race-based lobbying groups
and race-based laws (e.g., affirmative Action) constantly thrown up to
Americans which force the issue of race upon us.
Paul
He knows just enough to make hem think he knows a lot. Nearly everything he
says is flawed, and much of it is totally without basis.
Memín, the cartoon character they honored by doing a postage stamp, is a
poor black boy whose common sense usually prevails over the nonsense of his
wealthier friends... the stereotype, if any, is that the common man, of
color or not, often has the sense that the rich are lacking.
You got it entirely wrong.
First, there are few Blacks in Mexico... and one has been President... there
are a number of Blacks that have become famous in entertainment, including
Johnny and Ela Laboriel.
I truly doubt your Spanish is fluent and colloquial, or you would not say
such idiotic things based on literal translation of terms from language to
language, as only a neophyte or monolingual might.
See what I mean? :)
I know I will never convince you; your world view is set, and virtually
impossible to change.
Another interesting observation: Americans have this tendency to label
as "liars" those people who voice an opinion different from theirs. I'm
not lying, I'm voicing my opinion. You may DISAGREE with my opinion,
but why assume I'm lying? I could simply be wrong, without willfully
lying, couldn't I?
So when Ramon calls "our side" racists, he means "people like me..." or
"people with my background." He is being "friendly and non-aggressive."
How cool is that?
That link is for an article which is among the most inaccurate I have read.
Start with the fact that "Chicano" =//= "immigrant" and take it from there.
The video of the guy supporting the Aztlan / Anahuac agenda is an interview
which progressively asks deeper questions about the guy (who obviously gave
himself a full Náhuatl name) and his agenda, making the lunacy of it all the
more apparent. To anyone with half a brain, the guy comes off as at least
impractical and a dreamer, and at most, a nutjob.
That is getting pretty close to actual, intelligible Spanish.
The Black population of Mexico is almost insignificant, way less than 1%
pure Black and a percentage of mulatto descendents of the slaves along the
Gulf of Mexico. I find that treatment of Blacks in Mexico is much better
than that which they receive in the US. I refer you to on Mr. Guerrero as an
example.
If you look at who owns what in Mexico, a vast portion of property and
wealth is owned by people who would not be considered "pure white" if they
appeared, suddenly in Macon, GA, for example. I of course remind you that
non-pure-whites own a lot bigger percentage of property and businesses and
industry in Mexico than they do in the US.
As to the Mexican soaps, remember they are produced for export (where they
make more money than in Mexico) and tend to be very generic ethnically as
they are shown in Greece as well as Peru, the Philippines as well as
Romania.
There is certainly a loud minority. But I still think race is a
fundamental aspect of American culture, you have the PC thing, the
affirmative action thing, etc. I'm not saying it's BAD, I'm just saying
it IS.
And when Americans look at Mexico, they think our problems stem from
racism, which for a Mexican is absolutely preposterous.

Although we constantly complain about the increasing racism,
discrimination and poverty that Hispanics face in the USA, Indigenous
Mexicans suffer the same problems in Mexico.
In a nation devoted to celebrating its Indian heritage, the terrible
irony is that Indians are despised. "Don't behave like an Indian," are
common sentences heard among the white mestizo (person of mixed race or
blood, specifically a person of mixed European and Indian) and the
criollo (direct Spanish descendants) families. The Indians are despised
for their physical appearance, their poverty, and their language. Racism
enters every criollo and mestizo family, defining the value and the
place of the children according to their color. The darkest one may
become the outsider, while the fair-skinned one is a prize.
In Mexico, two different worlds exist, the world of the white and rich
population and the world of the indigenous. The Indians have been
excluded from the privileges that the white population in Mexico have.
They have been abused, attacked, neglected and forgotten during the last
100 years.
Today, the indigenous population continues to face systematic
discrimination in the public and private sectors, and remains largely
outside the country's political and economic mainstream. Extreme poverty
disproportionately affects indigenous segments of the population,
particularly in the province of Chiapas, where conflict between a
national liberation movement and authorities has raged since 1994.
Language barriers preclude meaningful participation of indigenous
peoples in the public education system. Most Indians do not speak
Spanish; nevertheless, Spanish is the language that has been assigned in
the Education System. As a result, for the non-Spanish-speaking people,
education is often essentially unavailable. The illiteracy rate among
indigenous peoples in Mexico is six times the national average. Spanish
illiteracy particularly disadvantages indigenous peoples in the
political process, as ballots and voter information are only available
in Spanish. If citizens of Mexico cannot read or understand Spanish,
they are not able to cast their votes.
In addition, Indians' inability to speak Spanish means that they face
widespread employment discrimination in Spanish-speaking areas. Indians
are also over represented in low-income jobs; 40 per cent of migrant
farm workers in the country are Indian. Even among menial jobs,
employment discrimination persists. For example, one report indicates
that Indians are often not allowed to do the easier plant packing work;
ostensibly because they are "too short" to reach the vegetables to sort
and pick them. Migrant farm workers in the south have been subjected to
discriminatory police brutality. These people claim that police
specifically target them for abuse. Reports indicate that the police
target those with "markers" of being Indian, such as skin color and height.
The vast concentrations of wealth among the white (9% of the population,
according o the CIA Factbook) ruling class contrasted with extreme
poverty among the darkest citizens are the proof that racial and class
discrimination exists in Mexico. The official and his peers in the
business and intellectual elites of the nation tend to be white (there
are exceptions, but they are becoming scarcer), well educated, and well
traveled abroad.
Although this is happening right before their eyes, the white population
in Mexico (the most powerful one) refuses to acknowledge it or even
address it openly. They refuse to notice the skin color and height
differences between the rulers and the ruled in Mexico.
The current government has made an effort to bring the issue of
indigenous rights closer to the forefront of the country's agenda, but
it still maintains that racial discrimination does not exist in Mexico.
While they acknowledge that indigenous people suffer debilitating and
disproportionate social, cultural, and economic hardships, it contends
that racial discrimination is not the cause of such poverty, but rather
that the poverty itself is the cause of discrimination.
We aren't going to be able to take all the appropriate measures to
ensure equal and impartial treatment before the law for all people,
until we recognize that racism perpetuates the economic, social, and
political marginalization of indigenous peoples.
Unfortunately, racism is a fact of life in Mexico, one that costs lives.
But the struggle goes on, for the dead are only dead if they are
forgotten. Let's not forget about them.

You didn't listen. I understand, garbage in garbage out, it becomes a
a habit.
You are not an American. If you don't wish to recieve the flawed
opinions of Americans as the makeup of Mexico and its faults, you
shouldn't be doing the same.
Social Liberal Culture is not American Culture, it is a politicized
minority culture, pervasive due to legislation and media.
Legislated Liberalism, passed back before we had experience with it.
We have to live with that legislation to this day.
It is akin to taxes, or mandatory church tithing.
>And when Americans look at Mexico, they think our problems stem from
>racism, which for a Mexican is absolutely preposterous.
I don't think the average American has any notion about race in
Mexico. They all look like one people from here. Too much reading the
typists on usenet.
As I have said many times, in Mexico we have a problem of CLASSISM, not
RACISM. A well educated, well dressed indian will not get
discriminated. On the other hand, a poor white person will.
No, I'm not an American, but I lived 10 years in the US, I got an
education there, so you could say I'm 50% American in my upbringing. So
I have a unique point of view: both insider AND outsider.
>

Yes, I agree, that may be the origin, but fact of the matter is,
whatever the origin, it PERMEATES your culture now; everything is
racially charged, and you can't seem to understand that things are not
the same in other countries, like in Mexico.

Ask the average American why indians are poor in Mexico, and I'm willing
to bet they will say "racism", even though that's not the case.
Bingo! You are absolutely right on.
How did Mexico avoid having a significant percentage of the African diaspora
in its population? Most Caribean island nations and much of Brazil and
Panama and perhaps Argentina has a significant Black population.
You Race Baiting Coward, you're PRO-ILLEGAL ALIEN and would love to
make this about Race.
You think people don't have to follow the laws when they don't want to
and shouldn't be held accountable for their crimes, I say prosecute
them and their co-conspirators (employers, landlords, social workers,
school administrators and anyone else who supports their breaking of
the law).
But the Fact is you are aidding and abetting Illegal Aliens and are
therefore breaking the law yourself along with all the Illegal Invading
Aliens and you aught to be held accountable for that.
This Issue is not about any Race it is about Illegal Invading Aliens
arrogantly breaking this country's laws for fun and profit at the legal
U.S. Taxpaying Citizen's expense.
If you really want illegal aliens here, then you and your Illegal Alien
Supportors need to foot the entire bill for them being here! Otherwise
you don't have a legitimate Leg to stand on.
You, as either a Big Business Illegal Alien Employer / Supportor or
Illegal Alien or related family or friend have no right to force the
costs of Illegal Aliens at every level on the Middle Class and Poor
through taxes and loss of jobs, benefits and services because of their
drain on our Social Services System, the drug crime (up to 80% of it)
and the other crime that goes hand in hand with the Ilegal
Invasion/Employment trade.
Thats like knocking someone down and then when their down on the ground
expecting them to kiss your feet. If that isn't wrong then I don't know
what is!
Big Business Illegal Alien Employers and the Illegal Alien Lobby have
reeped enough ill gotten benefits at the expense of the poor and middle
class for years and its time for them to be held accountable.
How can you possibly justify a guest worker program when 12 - 20
Million Illegal Aliens already here won't do those jobs and have moved
on to the easier and better paying jobs that the poor and middle class
want. I too would take a lower paying job, if I could suppliment my
income to make up the difference by adding wrongly received welfare
benefits/food stamps, free medical via emergency rooms, free schooling
for my children at the local property owners tax expense, no or little
taxes because I would be using a false social security number with max
exemptions, and past that bill unto the legal citizen poor to middle
class taxpayers who pay the greatest share of this country's overall
taxes, while these same people suffer the greatest loss for Illegal
Aliens being here in the first place.
Its criminal for our government to pass this burden unto the poor and
middle class, but the arrogant elitist Politicians and their Special
Interest - Big Business (at the expense of the poor and middle class)
continue to promote this injustice.
Let face facts, The Laws of the United States states it is Illegal to
cross the border into the United States unless you are a Legal Citizen
of the United States or you have a valid (non-expired) visa to enter
and be in the United States otherwise you are officially an ILLEGAL
(Invading or Visa over staying) ALIEN and any other description is lip
service to promote criminal activity and it just supports condoning and
aiding and abetting criminal acts, not to mention the crime that is
directly associated with this Illegal Alien Invasion (Identity Theft,
Fraud, illegally claiming social service benefits, free emergency room
medical care, drug trade, property theft and vandalism) all at the
Legal Citizens of the United States expense.
We can't afford to continue to ignor or support this blatant Stupidity!
President Bush (who tried to hide his actions and deny citizens access
to what he was doing behind our backs, but was finally forced to
provide the information through the freedom of information act) is
right now trying to push through Social Security Benefits for these
illegal invader aliens (The Totalization Agreement), We need to contact
our Congress-person and Senators now to stop this immediately or we'll
pay for the rest of our lives. (See Below)

The places in Latin America with the least number of blacks tend to be the
ones with the greatest surviving indigenous population that could do the
work... Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru.
In the Caribbean, the raiding Caribs kept the Tainos and others to small
populations, so there was little local population and lots of fertile land.
Blacks were imported. Same in Brazil.
Argentina is unusual, in that it had very little indigenous population, and
never got very many slaves, either. Part of this was the fact that it was a
very small population prior to the late 1880's when it started filling with
Germans, Italians, french, Poles, Russians, Brits and anything but
Spaniards. Since there was no gold and nothing much of value, the Spaniards
did not seem to pay as much attention as they did to Peru and Ecuador and
Mexico. Argentina is really the southernmost country in Europe.
I think so.
The US territory was established over 150 years ago by the laws of the time,
and it is all over.

You're saying that University of Texas Professor Jose Gutierrez, Mayor
of Los Angeles Antonio Villaragosa, Speaker of California's State
Assembly Fabian Nunez, Chicano civil rights leader Herman Baca,
University of Riverside Professor Armando Navarro, Chairman of the
California Democratic Party and California State Senator Joe Baca are
NUTJOBS?
I believe that this is the only thing we'll ever agree on.

So, when all those United States elected officials and "educators"
Villaraigosa left his MEChA affiliations long ago... it is, after all, a
STUDENT organization (that is what the "E" stands for... "student"). Same
with several of the others. A couple are simply too caught up on the
mystique of the whole Aztlan myth and dream, and, in any case, do not
represent anything close to mainstream Hispanic thought... and are real
crazies-.
One is talking about taking back the closet.
The other is talking about taking back the closet, the bedrooms, the
kitchen, garage, basement,
attic, front and back yards,
plus the airspace, water and drilling rights
and rewriting the deed completely.
Plus serving an eviction notice on the present occupants
and suing them for damages
after repossessing the car
and handing them red-eye coach fare bus tickets back to where they came
from.
Slight difference between the two.
Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan
National Constitution
Preamble
Chicano and Chicana students of Aztlan must take upon themselves the
responsibilities to promote Chicanismo within the community,
politicizing our Raza with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to
continue the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people
for the purpose of liberating Aztlan.
Just kids having fun, eh Davey?
Is it still an idea you oppose?
haha..FUNNY!!
And the classes are stacked by race...starting at the top it's VERY white
and as you go down the skin gets darker.
Mexican racists.
What you guys need to realize is that Mexicans are not
remaining confined to just the Southwest.
We are everywhere.
Just look at Macon County, Georgia.
Lily White areas are going bye-bye.
Thank you, Dave. I recall that the U.S. brought many Blacks from Jamaica
into Panama to help in the early days of building the canal. Prior to that,
Panama had few Blacks, IIRC.
Proving that Art Bell fans are right part of the time.
Of course one must include the "illegal aliens" who crossed the land bridge
from Asia to Alaska during the last ice ages if you say the same about the
Europeans who settle Jamestown and Plymouth Rock.
So is a broken clock twice a day!
There were quite a lot of Blacks in the plantations of the interior of
Panama in the 1700's and early 1800's. Like most of Latin America, slavery
was abolished three or 4 decades before the US took the step, and Panamá is
relatively small. In fact, there are communities on the coast of all the
Caribbean facing nations of Central America that were formed by escaped
slaves, Bluefields in Nicaragua being the largest today.
Pretty cool the way that works, isn't it? We've learned from your side.
It was your side that, through repetition, convinced yourselves that the
Minutemen were white supremacists, dangerous vigilantes, and a hate group.
What's good for the goose . . . .

And you people refuse to acknowledge that La Raza means The Race -- hence
that it is a racist term used by illegal aliens and their Latino Fifth

Can you verify that statement please by producing immigration laws back
then ?
What !!! you say you can't....Well do you know why ? There were no laws
against coming to another country back then so how was America founded
by illegals ?
