The MacDonald's servers,, all the cashiers, and waitresses,, { well

etc., are Done by Americans! The sprawling Target stores,,
Sears,,employees are mostly { but not entirely} obviously, Americans. A
great many black Americans are filling these jobs,, as would be
appropriate. Many gas stations are run by immigrants, however. I
can't help but notice.
For "lawn work",,, and "yards work" I have noted a few obvious
immigrants , But I see many obviously Americans doing this work as well.
I will try to find out if State law enforcement of immigration laws { or
tax law enforcement } has something to do with this employment
situation.

Here, as far as anyone can tell by looking and listening, it is 100%
Americans only doing all that work. Nobody has any need for illegal
workers, and nobody, I mean nobody at all, wants any of them here.
However, a really nice Mexican restaurant just opened in a town not
far from here. They employ Mexican serving personnel, and that does
add to the dining experience. But those employees were not hired from
anywhere around here, there are no such people here. And some of them
may be illegal, their English is not all that great, but I don't know
whether to object or not. I mean, if a man wants to open an ethnic
restaurant with real ethnic employees, Mexican, Chinese, or whatever,
and there are no such ethnicities living in the area, what is he
supposed to do?

The ones I knew to be quite decent mechanics were Pakistanis. Needless
to say, Charley Bash, engineer, is very fussy how mechanics do the work
on his car. I stand outside the repair bay, and watch their every move,
if I can and have time. I always ask to see the replaced parts.
It does appear to be either Arabs or Indian immigrants who run the gas

with a Mexican restaurant. Then the cousins, parents, siblings and
others begin flooding into your community from the village in Mexico
where they came from. After enough of them begin colonizing an area,

I've got the bad news for you, Mexico is not far away Russia or China, they
are the southern neighbor next door. They will just keep on comming till
Mexico becomes equal or better than the U.S and there's not much you can do
about it. One way out could be monetary union and more trade and investment
in Mexico by the U.S so that the incentive to go to the U.S will be greatly
diminished.

in the trade have always welcomed hapless and desperate immigrants to do the

Until the early eighties John Morrel had a meatpacking plant in Memphis,
and all of the workers were black and white citizens. My uncle retired
there, paid for his house, and put his children through school.
The meatpacking plants deliberately moved away from the big cities, to
rural areas to break the unions, and actively recruited from Mexico.
The wages dropped from twenty dollars an hour to ten dollars an hour,
with no retirement, because the plants had a 100% turnover rate in one year.
