What a stupid repo man...after he attacked and threatened the owner of the
vehicle, then handcuffed him and threatened to use a stun gun on him after
the owner asked him to produce proof of his ownership. For whatever reason,
idiot repo man gave up and drove off, and his victim called the local PD and
gave them the repo man's phone numbers. When the Sioux Falls PD called him
back, he drove all the way back to Sioux Falls - 330 miles to the east - and
was charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping. (Too bad he didn't have
the windows opened a bit on that five-hour drive.)

Actually, the repo man attacked and threatened the father of the owner. I
suspect that enough money will change hands after the lawyers have their
fun that both dad and son will be able to afford new Harleys.
Such is life in my home town.

My wife lived a few years in Sioux Falls, after having been born and growing
up in the north side of Roberts County, and after getting tired of snow,
took a friend and headed south to Texas in 1985, found me two years
afterward, married me three years later, and I've made seven or eight
20-hour drives between here and I-90...and if it wasn't for the winters,
we'd have moved up there years ago. (At least a summer in Minnehaha County
is like air conditioning outside by southeast Texas standards, and I'm not
complaining.)
