OK.

I might not agree with y'all, but I would like to extend a special
wishing of HAPPY NEW YEAR to the following:

LAMEY: I kinda like ya. I appreciate your honesty in some respects
(recovery, etc.), and I think you're probably in RL a good guy working
hard. I respect you for that. Doesn't matter to me where you work or
what you do -- I've worked with people in recovery -- if you stick to
it (and keep your mind open), you'll be OK. Best wishes to you in
2010, and beyond. I'm no enemy of yours.

MAD AS A BOX OF FROGS: Well, we seem to despise the same sentiments
from the same people who spew them, and you're funny. So of course I
wish you a Happy New Year.

[SHOCKER!]: BOBANDCAROLE: We've had our differences, but lately I've
seen something of a change in your direction. I *do* understand your
hatred of pedophiles (while perhaps disagreeing with the way you go
about tackling the real issue), and you really have grown in just the
past year. I think you might have gone about things wrong (I still
think that it would be BENEFICIAL to law enforcement to keep a group
such as asbl up and running), but if this really is your issue --
adults taking advantage of kids -- I'm with you on that.

RED DOG: Love ya, man!

ONIDEUS CRACK SPLATTER: You're clueless. Your cluelessness knows no
bounds, nor would it be bounded by bounds even if it were bounded by
bounds. But you amuse me. You're fat, ugly, stupid, and arrogant.
But believe it or not, you DO seem to have some intelligence in
there.. and my suggestion and hope for you in the coming year is to
actually tap into that. Figure out what you want to DO with your
life, and then do what is necessary to make that happen.

SARAH EHRETT: Well, we all know it's you, Ken. Your flailing about
has made my recent introduction to AUK quite the rewarding experience
of 2009, and you promise not to disappoint in 2010, unless you're in
prison somewhere. Suggestion: Get in one of those expensive cars you
claim to have, and drive around a bit, and quit posting here. You're
going to get into some BIG trouble. BIG. That's all I'm sayin'.

EMMETT GULLEY: Emma, honey. You need help. You're just not right.
I don't judge that, and I mean that seriously. There are anger
issues, and you seem to just not be able to let go of certain things,
and those certain things are going to land you right back up in the
pen. You MUST have some health benefits, Emma, and you need to call
your insurer and find out if you can get some counselling... it can't
do you wrong, so go for it, and that I hope for you this coming year.

Mwahhhh!

This is usenet, in real life it's different, but you know that. You're
no enemy of mine. Tommy is no enemy either. I'm sure he and I could do
some fishing and laff this thing into the ground. 8 days and I'll have
2 years C&S..I love it. Thanks and the best to you also.

Since we're all offering New Year's thoughts and wishes:

Lamey: believe it or not, you and I actually have something in common.
Like you, I'm a recovering alcoholic: I've been sober for 14 years
now, and will be marking 15 next Halloween (although I still enjoy an
occasional doobie now and again). I commend you on staying clean for
two years. It gets easier every day, and before you know it you're in
the habit of being sober like you used to be in the habit of being
drunk. I hope for your sake and your family's sake that you enjoy a
peaceful and sober 2010. Whatever other faults you may have, I think
you truly are a devoted father and are probably far less of an asshole
offline than you are on Usenet. I know I am, or so I've been told
anyway.

(As for your White Widow plants, they looked OK but you may want to
invest in a bigger light -- I'd recommend a 1k HPS if you have the
ventilation and can afford the electricity. And get rid of that
tinfoil and get some Mylar safety blankets for reflectors: you may
also want to look into a couple of Waterfarms if you can do a
hydroponic setup. If you can grow your medical MJ legally, might as
well do it right).

Oneidus Mad Hatter : I hope that when 2010 comes around you won't have
to say to yourself, "I'm still a fat diaper-wearing thirtysomething
year old shelf stocker at WalMart who gets less pussy than Emmett
Gulley." I also hope that 2010 brings us world peace, a cure for
cancer, and a full recovery in the job markets. I suspect I'll be
disappointed too.

Greg Hall: Hope you have smooth sailing in 2010 and beyond, and
congratulations on hitting the stAUKers with a truly devastating and
costly blow. Seeing the Usual Gang of Idiots dragged into court for
their antics was one of the highlights of my year.

Tom Evans: Dude, you are truly one irritating asshole -- and I say
that in the nicest way! You've got a real gift for getting under
people's skin. It's not many people who have that talent, and you've
got it in spades. May you continue to be a spur under the saddles of
many of our favorite readers.

Emmett Gulley: Dude, stop and think. Seriously. At best you're making
yourself the laughing stock of several newsgroups, and at worst you're
going to wind up back in prison. Just let it go, guy: it ain't worth
getting raped in the showers again.

Albatross: Maybe it's time to give Emmett a rest. I'm sure that he
will find some other place to melt down once he ceases to be the AUK/
RSP-W cellblock punk, but do we need to drive an unstable and
borderline retarded person over the edge for shits and giggles? I'm
wondering if it's not time to think about considering Emmett for a
Formosa ruling.

Bobandcarole: here's a hint for 2010: when you are going to sock up as
"Rusty Trombone" try not to sign off with Doc Dice's "DD" and vice
versa.

Meat Plow: here's a hint for 2010: I'm not Steve Cheney.

Flash: here's a hint for 2010: I'm not Greg Hall.

To everyone else: may the New Year bring you happiness, health and
good fortune. Auld lang syne, everyone!

Absolutely. No matter what differences we may have, I'd never wish a
relapse on anyone. It sounds like you have things under control. I
suspect you'll be celebrating your third year at the end of 2010, and
you and Tom Evans will still be poking sharp sticks at each other.

I tried my hand at growing weed a while back, but unfortunately my
efforts gave new meaning to the words "abuse of marijuana." (Although
I did manage to harvest a couple ounces of some very tasty Dutch
Passion Twilight). It's easier if you can start with rooted clones,
but I didn't have any at hand. One of these days I'm going to set up
another grow and see if I have learned from my experiences.

Don't worry about Boob: he's a slightly taller version of Emmett
Gulley, complete with the wife-beating and anger management issues. He
huffs and he puffs and he makes all kinds of impotent threats, but he
can be safely ignored or laughed at as you see fit. Personally, I
think his crusade against "pedophiles" stems from his guilt at raping
so many little Vietnamese girls while he was in country. It's a pity
he didn't wind up in a POW camp, but I doubt that he had what it took
to be a pilot so that was never really a danger for him.

Sounds about right to me.

Nah. He strikes me as more of a psychopathic type who is incapable of
feeling guilt. Besides which, I'll bet you he prefers boys -- it's all he
ever thinks/talks about (sex with boys, that is).

If he /had/ wound-up in a POW camp, I'm sure the 'gooks' as he styles them
would have taught him a little respect, using the only language he truly
understands -- brutality.

This one proudly posts as an ex member of pedoU and has the nerve to
accuse the activists
of being pedophiles. It reminds me of how the queers accuse the
straights who are disgusted by their perverted sexual practices of
being queer. Polock logic.
