shell found in a roadside bomb in Iraq did indeed contain sarin gas.
There you are ... an actual weapon of mass destruction used against
American troops in Iraq.
Thankfully this sarin gas device didn't kill a lot of people. It
didn't kill a lot of American soldiers because it was improperly used.
It was an artillery shell. In fact, it was an artillery shell the
existence of which had not been previously revealed to the United
Nations by Saddam's government. This is quite a problem for the "Bush
lied" crowd. Here we have not only a chemical weapon .. but it's a
chemical weapon that Saddam never even told us he had! What's more
.. it apparently had fallen into the hands of some low echelon
terrorists who didn't even know how to use it! This means that
wherever those weapons happen to be .. they are accessible to people
who are not trained in their usage. This means that they can fall
into the hands of virtually anyone friendly to the goals of the
Islamic Jihadists.
That brings us to a warning that graces the pages of most American
newspapers today. Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI Director
Robert Mueller will hold a news conference today to announce that
there is intelligence indicating a major terror attack could take
place this summer. Officials are reporting that such an attack may
take place before November to influence the outcome of the
presidential election (hey, it worked in Spain, right?) The Al Qaeda
terrorists who have been assigned the task of carrying out this attack
are apparently already in this country and ready to rip. Al Qaeda
wants to show the world that all of the efforts the Americans have put
into homeland security just aren't enough.
Possible targets include: Saturday's dedication of the World War II
Memorial on the National Mall in Washington D.C., the G8 summit on Sea
Island, Georgia, Fourth of July celebrations, the Democratic
convention in Boston, the Republican convention in New York and,
moving outside of our borders, the Olympics in Greece. As per usual,
there is no specific time, date or place, just intelligence that
suggests an attack might take place.
Are you listening? Is this enough to shock some of you out of your
complacency? Maybe it will happen, maybe not. But the Islamic
terrorists want to kill more Americans ... and they want to do it in
as spectacular a manner as possible. The war isn't over. Right now,
as you are reading this, there are Al-Qaeda operatives and terrorist
cells all over America that want to kill you, just because you're an
American. Look at Nick Berg...he went to Iraq to help the Iraqi
people, and that didn't matter to the Al-Qaeda goon that sawed off his
head. The threat is real, and it's time people sit up and take
notice. It's also time for you to give some serious consideration to
the question of who you want leading this country through this age of
terrorism. Do you want someone who once said that American troops
should only be deployed overseas if they're under the control of the
United Nations? Do you want someone who denigrated the U.S. military
with a wholesale, broad-brush condemnation after he returned from
Vietnam with his paper cut Purple Hearts?
This isn't mere politics, folks. It's survival. There are people out
there who want you dead. They may have the weapons to make sure that
happens. You are going to chose a commander in chief of the U.S.
Military in about six months. On the one hand you have a man who has
earned the respect of our men and women in uniform by showing them the
respect they have earned and by leading them with resolve and
boldness. On the other hand you have a man who took the quick and
easy way out of Vietnam, and who's been called unfit to serve as
commander in chief by virtually all of the people who commanded him in
Vietnam.
We know that the Al Qaeda terrorists are doing whatever they can to
get weapons of mass destruction. And of course, if they get WMDs...a
nuke...chemical weapons...you name it, they're going to use them. An
Al-Qaeda leader has said that 4 million Americans will have to be
killed "as a prerequisite to any Islamic victory."
Folks, these people have to be eliminated. Nothing short of the total
destruction of all Islamic terrorists will keep us safe from these
lunatics. Who do you want in the Oval Office making decisions?
Someone who has pledged to take the battle to the terrorists with the
full backing of the U.S. military, or someone who wants to turn our
security over to the United Nations?
You have a little over 5 months to decide. Your life could depend on
it.
All people are not good...there is evil in the world. Despite what
the liberals and the media may think, the United States and the rest
of the civilized world is fighting for its very existence against
terrorism. Think about it.

Correction. It didn't kill any people.
Hence it was a useless relic, like Bush.
