5 black "people" shot, 3 fatally, in Christmas Eve shootings in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Five people were shot in St. Louis on Christmas Eve, and
three of those people died from their injuries, according to police.
St. Louis police said the first shooting happened at about 3:17 a.m.
in the 900 block of Talmage Avenue, about a quarter-mile from
Manchester and South Vandeventer avenues.
Video from a Ring security camera captured the fatal shooting. A man
in a yellow shirt can be seen firing several shots toward the porch
of a home before running away.
Police said the man on the porch was shot in the chest. He was taken
to a hospital, where he later died.
The second fatal shooting happened at about 3:18 a.m. at Minnesota
Avenue and Potomac Street, two blocks east of Gravois Park, St.
Louis police said.
First responders found a man with a gunshot wound to his neck. He
wasn't conscious or breathing.
And in the city’s third fatal shooting of the day, shortly after 10
p.m., police responded to Lillian and Mimika avenues in north St.
Louis, where they found a man dead from gunshot wounds.
At least two other people were shot in St. Louis on Christmas Eve in
non-fatal incidents.
Just after 1:45 a.m., a man showed up at a St. Louis hospital with a
gunshot wound to his back. He said he had been shot in the 500 block
of North Vandeventer Avenue.
Another man arrived at a St. Louis hospital at about 8 p.m. with
gunshot wounds to his right arm and abdomen, telling police he had
been shot at Market Street and North Tucker Boulevard near City
Hall.
All of the incidents are under investigation. Police urged anyone
with information to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
