Fascism is on the rise, and fascism sympathizers the world over are
preparing themselves. After the total failure of social-democrat
social policies dependent on liberal global economics, the peoples
will come to the conclusion that the only viable alternative is
fascism. The election of Hollande in France will only drive to the
election of Marie LePen next time.

Notice who, in Europe, was attracted to fascism and who voiced
disapproval but colluded with its rise.
The time of polite conversation is coming to an end.
Those that will lean toward fascism - you know them,
I know them, and they know them.
*They* will silently cheer when you are rounded up.

reasoned and balanced political news, the entertainment side of the
media certainly has heavily patriarchal, borderline fascistic overtones.
Whilst there's always been the Penthouse, Mayfair, Razzle, Asian Babes
etc, I think a lot of the magazines for both men AND women come over as
being incredibly materialistic, anti-relationship and promoting certain
physical beauty ideals. Conformity seems to be the word, which rather
worries me- the English eccentric and such interesting characters seems
to have been swamped by the bright, sexy but not particularly deep.
In music, even the Spice Girls (who actually expressed admiration for
Maggie) would be too "radical and revolutionary" for today's highly
conservative pop scene.
California seems to encapsulate the 1960s hippie scene turning
malignant, from nip and tuck high school kids to rapes and beatings in
overcrowded jails. I've never been outside NY though, so can't really
say what life in Hollywood's vicinity is really like. The 1980s
Hollywood seems both liberal and genteel by comparison.
A lot in the UK blame Murdoch this, but his output and influence is
generally limited to the English speaking world, and the same seems to
be happening on the continent.

Both were anti-capitalist, pro-labour movements driven by workers, and
both advocated authoritarian socialist concepts. Do you agree that both
Fascism and Communism were promoted as alternatives to Capitalism?

think that the problem resides in education. Here in Canada I have
been offered free subscriptions to newspapers that were once owned by
Conrad Black. Black is gone, but those papers never got back to be
worthy of reading again. One of the telemarketers pushing these
products even told me "but you don't understand: it is free for twelve
weeks and you can cancel any time." I told him that if a drug pusher
offered me free drugs for twelve weeks I would not accept it, and that
the garbage he was pushing was even worse than drugs.
