Even the vast English subsidies will not bail Scotchland out in 2010

Scotland's economy to lag behind rest of UK
Scotland will record almost zero economic growth next year partly thanks
to the burden of its huge public sector, a new report has found.

The Fraser of Allander Institute at Strathclyde University predicted
Scotland’s recovery will lag behind that in the rest of the UK and
unemployment will increase to 234,000. The economy is predicted to
return to growth over the final quarter of this year, but the report
said this was not certain and it may even slump back into recession.
Among the reasons is the ‘drag’ of Scotland’s proportionally
larger public sector and the troubled banks being reluctant to lend to
business because they are rebuilding their balance sheets.

Note: Quite unfit to rule themselves.

Besides, the *nglish still owe us for theft of North Sea oil - that's
a lot. Under Thatcher if it wasn't for Scots oil you guys would have
been living like Bangladesh.
Oops -s sorry I forgot, much of *ngland is like Bangladesh!!!

The oil revenues are minute compared with the vast English subsidies
paid to Scotchland every year since 1707... RH
