Its great that Norquist has lost so much influence. (he's now

That is the case with all non-elected governments. They are or were
run, instead, by the area's presiding business leaders. Today's
democratic safeguards should be enough to prevent this.

IMHO the late Presidential election showed this to be the case. In
spite of Citizens United and the oceans of dark money thrown at it by
corporate backers the result reflected the popular vote.
