A Democrat congressional aide who was fired for filming a gay sex tape in
the Senate is facing possible criminal charges after his X-rated clip
swept the internet.
Aidan Maese-Czeropski, 24, was fired by Maryland Senator Ben Cardin
Saturday afternoon, less than a day after a lewd video showing two men
having sex in a Senate hearing room was exposed.
The Capitol Police are reportedly now investigating the explicit incident,
which occurred in the same room where Supreme Court justice nominees are
grilled by senators.
The aide, who appeared in a 2020 campaign video with Joe Biden, already
sparked backlash as he released his own statement on LinkedIn on Friday
night, alleging that he is being 'attacked for who I love to pursue a
political agenda.'
'While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my
job and would never disrespect my workplace,' he said.
'Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I
will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these
matters.'
While the embattled staffer says he is considering legal action, he may be
joined by Capitol Police as they are reportedly looking into whether he
broke any laws. Those could include trespassing and obscenity.
