HEAD: Pelosi, Reid Threatening Congressmen Over ObamaCare
The House and Senate may be out of session on winter recess, but Barack
Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are busy threatening legislators cutting
secret, back-room deals theyre twisting arms all in a desperate attempt
to pass ObamaCare.
Why are they so desperate?
Because, contrary to what youve been hearing from the liberal mainstream
media, ObamaCare is not a done deal and Obama, Pelosi and Reid know it.
Obama, Pelosi and Reid know that ObamaCare can be stopped. Thats why they
are desperately issuing threats and cutting secret deals.
And their desperation is proof that you can stop them.
But that means that each and every one of us is going to have to step up and
keep fighting against ObamaCare.
According to recent reports, Obama, Pelosi and Reid are actually threatening
Members of Congress.
LifeNews.com issued the following item:
Congressman Bart Stupak says the Obama administration is trying to bully
him. Stupak told CNS News that the White House and top Congressional
Democrats are attempting to twist his arm to accept the Reid-Nelson
compromise language that still allows massive taxpayer financing of
abortions.
Another report from Robert Costa with National Review indicates that Obama,
Pelosi and Reid may have moved from bullying to bribery:
After watching the Senates health-care debate, Rep. Bart Stupak (D.,
Mich.) tells NRO that he has one message for President Obama and House
speaker Nancy Pelosi: You dont buy me off.
Stupak tells us that hes disappointed that Democratic leaders have offered
him legislative favors in exchange for supporting Obamacare. This shouldnt
be a bill where you use hush money, says Stupak.
Stupak may be standing firm in opposition to these sickening tactics but dont
count on that to last.
Senator Ben Nelsons recent capitulation, which allowed ObamaCare to move
forward, should teach us that these iron-fist-velvet-glove tactics can work.
And that means we have our work cut out for us.
If we are going to stop ObamaCare, its up to us to barrage these elected
officials with the most effective legislative weapon at the disposal of
average Americans like us personalized Blast Faxes and demand that they
stand firm in the face of these threats and buy-off attempts.
As mentioned above, this fight is far from over. Both the House and the
Senate will have to vote yet again to pass ObamaCare.
And changing just a few votes could mean victory for the American people.
There is still time to defeat ObamaCare, but we, the American people, cannot
let up now.

The fact is, of course, that the health care bill has already passed.

They aren't.

And I am hearing this same garbage from deep in the moonbat cave. The
only "pressure" that is needed is to cut a deal with Pelosi and Reid
where the Public Option will be an add on bill coming to the floor in
July or August IN TRADE for the House simply passing the _CURRENT_ Senate
version of the bill as is.

This is a lie, in part, but what else would you expect from a rightard
like Stupak. There is little doubt that the Obama administration and the
democratic leaders want to accept the Senate version of the bill and move
on to other pressing matters. The resurrection of the Public Option
after the fact is a no-brainer in that 60% of the people _WANT_ that
control over the insurance company thieves. So all, in all, the Senate
bill will do _FOR NOW_.

National Review (NR) is a biweekly magazine founded by the late author
William F. Buckley, Jr. in 1955 and based in New York City. It describes
itself as "America's most widely read and influential magazine and web
site for Republican/conservative news, commentary, and opinion."[1]

subscribers, the free content on the website is essentially a separate

NOPE! That is a lie being perpetrated by BOTH the rightards and moonbats
as they struggle to keep their brain dead coalitions together. If the
House simply adopts the Senate bill (which seems likely with the promise
of an ADD ON Public Option bill), then LIEberman and the Senate don't get
another shot. They already passed the bill. They don't get another
chance at filibuster.

Yes. I agree!!! Make sure that your House representative will keep the
pressure on to accept the Senate version and come back after it is the
law with a Public Option (or drug financing, or Medicare extension) bill.
It is EXACTLY, that the current bill is a start. It is absolutely NOT
the end.

Sorry fuckwit, reconciliation will kill most of it and you fucks are in
real trouble!
What reconciliation? The House now has control. They can accept the
Senate version and make it the law. The Senate has nothing more to say
about it.
The choice is simple and it is as you say: If the House attempts to
change the Senate bill then LIEberman and the Republican pigs will make
the bill even worse by filibustering until the elections and stopping
anything the Democrats might want to do on any legislation at all of any
kind. So the House will accede to the Senate version or kill the entire
bill, or exercise the Constitutional Option. Those are the choices.
Playing footsie with the lying pigs is not going to be on the agenda. We
used LIEberman to get what we could and now we are done with him.
