Money Talks. So Stop Listening!!

Let's see, where to begin? Oh, yeah, the Yankees won the World Series. Yep,
the "Best team that money can buy" won it all. After all, with the highest
payroll in the universe, shouldn't they win? How about the NYC Mayoral race?
Mr. Bloomburg, the billionaire, won the mayoralty for a third time. Since
NYC had a "Two term limit" rule, Bloomie had to urge the City Council to
change the law. They did... wonder what perks he promised? Bloomie only
outspent his Democratic opponent by a 7:1 margin. He spent 92 million of his
own fortune to win the voters over. Unfortunately, even against a virtual
unknown, Bloomie only won by a 51-49% margin. Guess there are those of us
who stop listening when the money talks. As an aside, to show how really
disingenuous politics is, Mr. Obama did not even come to campaign for Mr.
Thompson, the Democrat. Nope. Never once came to NYC, yet he traveled far
when he wanted Chicago to get the Olympics. Al Gore even did Obama one
better. Al went so far as to make phone calls for Bloomie... Check it out!
While this all was going on, the Congress, with the (disappointing) approval
of Mr. Obama, voted another 140 billion for the (so called) "Wars in Iraq
and Afghanistan" . Those are wars like our wars were with Granada and
Panama... No such thing! Iraq was an invasion and war that lasted about two
weeks. Afghanistan was never a war, simply an attack and subsequent
occupation, spanning the past eight years. Yet, to the detriment of we "9 to
5" Americans, the money keeps flying out of our Treasury and into the hands
of the Military- Industrial Complex. Our cities crumble, services cut,
property taxes raised, schools deteriorate, foreclosures mount ...
Unemployment surges to most likely (and most candidly) close to 20%! Yet,
the corrupt Congress and our figurehead Presidents keep playing the
terrorist tune, so as to frighten the **** out of us. Then, they spend on
more military ****, while sending wave after wave of our kids to kill and
die in desert heat. The entire poor and middle classes of the entire world
now hate America. Who cares, when you live in some gated community in the
burbs, or in some high rise with doormen and servants, oblivious to the
suffering below or abroad?
Talk about suffering, look at the housing market. Prices are still
tragically low because of all the foreclosures on the market. Uncle Sam
could have solved this in perhaps 90 days, what with all the moola being
thrown around. Instead of bailing out Goldman, AIG and the other crooked
banks, Uncle could have negotiated to buy their assets at fire sale
discounts. When the time was ripe, those banks could have been re sold to
outside bidders... At a profit to we taxpayers! Then, Uncle, instead of 800
billion in handouts, could have spent a fraction of that to negotiate to buy
all foreclosed and delinquent mortgages at (once again) fire sale discounted
prices. Believe me, the banks were (and still are) ready, willing and able
to unload abandoned or soon to be abandoned homes. They would do so at a
fraction of their assessed values. People could have stayed in their homes,
and paid Uncle at negotiated rates, or through the Fannie Mae current plan.
In this plan, delinquent homeowners are able to "rent" until able to re
continue the mortgage payment. Thus, non foreclosed homes would
automatically increase in value. Magically, new construction would begin...
Meaning more supplies bought and sold, more jobs, more...economic stimulus!
Not to be, because the two party system has already been bought and paid
for. The rich control politics... Always have... Only now it is much more
transparent.
What to do? Well, number one, stop voting for these hypocrites! Number two,
the thing these phonies hate the most is when a mob appears at their door.
What is wrong with true democracy? What is wrong with protesting outside of
the offices and the homes of these scoundrels? Imagine, in my town alone, if
instead of 5 or 6 of us outside of our congressperson's office, we had 500
or 600? Do you think we would get some action? Well, stand with your
neighbors on those key national issues that have become almost "Life and
Death" for us. The need for Medicare for All. The need for lower drug
prices. The need to stop spending hundreds of billions on military **** and
use that money to save our economy. The need, and many say the predominate
issue, for us to keep private money out of political campaigns. Public
funding is the only answer. Money should not be seen as free speech...
Standing up and speaking freely is what our founders meant by "Free Speech"
.
Get involved and stop venting to four walls or to sympathetic ears. Stand in
public and be a true patriot! Most of all, stop listening to the liars and
hypocrites! For those of the Christian faith, check out what Jesus himself
said about wealth and... Heaven. "I charge you men, seek not to save your
wealth, or you will lose your lives. Go forth and look not back upon the
crumbling walls of sin..... Whoever tries to save his life will lose his
life; whoever freely gives his life in serving life will save his life." So
it is with Mr. Obama and the Congress... And those who keep paying to keep
them in power. The time has come for more than just laws and proclamations.
The time has come for "All good men (and women) to come to the aid of their
country." Stand tall and speak truth to power ... let them start listening
for a change.

Democrats outnumber everyone else 6-1 in NYC. For a non-Democrat to
win at all is a near miracle.
