I think the Boris Johnson debacle is totally different to the Connelly
incident. Boris Johnson just comes out with things without thinking,
far more genuine than the cold calculated words of his colleagues and
indeed Connelly.

I'm not sure why the hell he was going on about Hillsborough in the
first place. Even The Sun has admitted they were wrong and apologised.
It was 15 years ago FFS, just let it rest!
As for the Bigley comments, he was right to say it was a ludicrous
display of mawkish sentimentalism but whether Liverpool behaved
any worse than any other town under similar circumstances is
debateable. Sadly, I suspect not.

The whole thing has been a fuss about nothing. NW tonight has been
full of reaction to this crap for days now. He some some somewhat ill-judged
comments for which he has now apoligised. Aren't there more important
things for the media to talk about, don't people know there's a war on?
