Gibraltar na dowód czy paszport ?

Wybieram się na urlop na Gibraltar. Wylot z UK gdzie pracuję. Prawie cała esencja jest już w temacie - nie wiem jaki dokument będzie konieczny - chciałbym polecieć na polski dowód osobisty, ale nie jestem pewny czy ten dokument wystarczy, czy też paszport PL będzie nieodzownym ? Napiszcie proszę.

If your ID card is a valid EU travel document for travel within in the
EU, then you CAN enter Gibraltar using that. Gibraltar is part of the
EU.

(it is not part of the 'Schengen area' - so border controls still take
place where they check your ID/passport, and it is not part of the
'European common customs and VAT area' so customs duty controls take
place, but it IS part of the EU.)

Gibraltar is a member of the European Union, however it is not part of
the Schengen Area or EU Customs Union. This means that there are
immigration and customs controls when travelling between Spain and
Gibraltar. Citizens of the European Union are required to have a
national identity card or passport, while all others are required to
have a passport to enter.
