I have a new printer (Epson Stylus Office BX310FN) that I have a problem
with on Fedora 13 (64 bit).

Have downloaded the drivers etc and followed the instructions in the read
me file, although the scanner works very well (perfectly to my tired old
eyes) the printer throws up an error - missing file libltdl.so.3

I have searched but have only found it bundled with other files, trying to
install the bundle just gets the message that it is already installed.

At my rather advanced age I am at my wits end.

PLease help if you can.

Thank you

I have an EPSON Stylus DX74xx series printer/scanner and a
libltdt.so.7 file and it is a part of the libtool-ltdl-devel RPM
package on my system (Fedora 12, 32-bit).

So, try (in the terminal, as root):
1) yum provides 'libltdt.so' and install the displayed package
2) yum provides '*/libltdt.so' and install the displayed package
3) yum search libltdt
4) yum install libtool-ltdl-devel

Or, use a graphical frontend to software installation, search for
this package and install it.

Thanks - I will give that a try in just a few minutes.

Thanks Bogdan.

It was a bit of a fiddle but in the end it worked. A lot different to the
avensys site.
