hi to all,

we are in the process of finalising a natural cosmetic online shop for
a customer. the product photos supplied to us by the manufacturer are
really bad. they are the typical 1 product on a white background with
ABSOLUTELY no emotion invloved.

are there any websites around where we can get modelling ideas or
studio setups for this range of products?

my experience is reasonable (mainly landscape and BW studio), but
simply the ideas on how to place the products are failing.

my intended setup is as follows:

2 500W halogen lights pushed through silk fabrik to soften.
if needed 1 sunbounce screen
5 mega pixel digi (or 35mm colour corrected film (or at least colour
corrected filter) ANY PREFERENCES ???

if there are any pros out there with hints in this area, any
suggestions would be really appreciated.

thanks nigel.

For ideas, you can start with a fashion magazine. For lighting, I'd
suggest a trip to the library. John Hedgecoe`s books are invaluable. If
these pictures are for the internet only, the digital camera should be fine.
