Hi all,
Just to let you know that a recent trip to Wales has yielded some new images
in the updates section on 'digital photography.....digital art'

The first two are of what I consider to be a striking new building (if you
like modern architecture that is!) in the regenerated Cardiff bay area.
These images have been digitally manipulated to enhance the drama of the
building.

The rest were taken in the countryside around St. Fagans Castle (just
outside Cardiff) in weather that was changeable to say the least! However,
the conditions did yield some interesting results. The 'spooky statues' is
my favourite....yes it has been extensively manipulated in Photoshop but I
hope the result justifies the means used.

Lastly, 'digital photography.....digital art' has been given an extensive
makeover that will hopefully make it easier to navigate.

Hi again,
By way of complete contrast from the modernity of Cardiff and the delights
of the Welsh countryside are the latest images posted in the updates section
on 'digital photography.....digital art'
(http://daveamis.freeservers.com/updates.html). These are grim, gritty, a
bit on the experimental side (more digital manipulation!) and I admit,
probably not to everyone's taste. All were shot on the wastelands of the
marshes along the Thames estuary in Essex. I was in a bit of a bad mood when
I shot these images - it seems that's when I produce my best work for some
reason!
