This is what Obama and his Wrecking Crew want to ram down our throats.

You can buy all the insurance you wish.
Why should he? He'd be already paying the national insurance tax for
healthcare in the UK.
Not at all.
The National Health Service in England used to be GREAT.
But it collapsed under the weight of too many foreigners
flooding into England who wanted to take advantage of the
FREE service.
Unfortunately many of these foreigners have themselves
become doctors and nurses, bringing with them the very low
standards of cleanliness and hygiene from their own
countries such as India, Bangladesh etc.
The National Health Service was created and built for the
poor white indigenous English people and functioned very
well BEFORE the flood of sponging foreigners.

Tip of the iceberg....Bet there's 's a lot more going on that the
public never gets to see.
Hell, when you have a government protecting it's image at stake!!
Lord, knows to what lengths they've been going too.. In a
capitialistic free market, the lawyers hunt down the and destory the
poor providers...
Tip of the iceberg....Bet there's 's a lot more going on that the
public never gets to see.
=Great isn't it, when the regulatory and oversight systems work people say
'tip of the iceberg', when they don't its a white wash or cover up!

These devils hide in the details of the competing health care bills in
Congress; both contain debilitating right-wing policies hidden within a
progressive shell. Obama is indeed acting as the agent of change, to the
great benefit of the U.S. corporate elite.
And although the final bill has yet to be crafted, there exists general
agreements as to what the end version will look like. Americans will be
forced to buy shoddy corporate insurance with no limit to the cost, no
guarantee of quality, with large premiums and other tricks to further
gouge consumers. If a public option emerges in the final bill — by no
means a guarantee — it will be shrunken enough to insure very few people
(2 percent of the U.S. population).
But it gets worse. How this health care “reform” will be paid for has
implications that dwarf the above atrocities.
For example, the Democrats were determined to pass a health care bill
that “will not add one cent to the deficit.” And they have succeeded: the
House and Senate health care bills both plan to reduce the deficit by
over $100 billion. But a second-grader could do the math here: more
service does not equal less cost — a truism that dominates the for-profit
health care industry.
So how does the government plan to save billions of dollars as they
“help” millions of people?
The two biggest cost saving schemes are the most damaging. The first is
the enormous attack on Medicare. Since its inception, the corporate elite
wanted this program struck down. Now they have their man for the job — a
Republican could never get away with such obvious treachery.
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the Senate version of
health care would cut $404 billion from Medicare and Medicaid; the house
version would cut $570 billion. The final cut could be much more. Obama
made the ridiculous claim that only “wasteful” parts of Medicare would be
cut. The truth is far different.

The typical Boomer is 63 years-old. The national health plan will really
begin for five more years. Then they will be 68 years-old. Natural
attrition of the Boomers kicks in and in ten more years the Plan will be
complete, and wealthy.
I just had three visits to the doc. Two sets of blood tests and
consultations. Cost to me? Nothing.
You don't pay for labs over here either. You just walk in, they get
the labs and bill the insurance company.
BTW, you pay a tax, a percentage, on whatever you earn, each time you
are paid, to national insurance.
John might also be reminded that everything is free in a concentration
camp, also.
Career criminals actually prefer to be in jail. Why not, they have a
roof over their heads and 3 squares a day. The socialist mentality
isn't much different. The difference is that the socialists want to
drag us in with them.

He shoots...he scores...and it's an own goal!
NHS hospitals were spotless for the first 40 years -- old school
matrons would not
have stood for anything less.
Then aloong comes some free-market goon and says that this is all too
socialistic and
cleaning has to be contracted out
because that way it is cheaper. Well, of course, itis cheaper, they
are skimping. And contract
cleaners are no longer direct employees unaswerale to the medical
staff. That's when the
problem started. It's a consequence of free-market "reform".
And the solution...
"The Royal College of Nursing conference overwhelmingly voted for a
motion proposing an end to contracting out cleaning to private firms."
> NHS hospitals were spotless for the first 40 years -- old school
> matrons would not have stood for anything less.
Socialism always initally takes advantage of the vestiges of a better
culture - and then proceeds to gradually undermine and destroy it.
> Then aloong comes some free-market goon and says that this is all too
> socialistic and cleaning has to be contracted out...
Blah, blah. You are just grasping at straws and looking for excuses for
a system that has deteriorated in far more fundamental ways than just
its cleanliness. Furthermore, one of the reasons for turning to
private contractors is to try to control the spiralling out of control
costs of the system. Whether it does or doesn't succeed is beside the
point in relation to the main issue which is out of control costs.
Assuming even that Canadian hospitals, for example, are clean (I don't
really know or care), the important thing to note is that Canadians
have to come here to avoid life-threatening waiting lists and/or to
get the most advanced medical care. That's the most fundamental
indictment of socialized medicine.
If you want welfare hospitals to accomodate the poor, that would be
one thing (which I would prefer to see financed by private charity).
But what you are advocating is a gov't takeover of medicine, dragging
us all by the hair to support it and to watch the quality of our care
sink to the level of the welfare hospitals. That's what your
egalitarianism demands isn't it?

If you are insured.

Yes, it spreads the costs nicely.
Irrelevant

Nonsense.
40 years. And it was destroyed by the "free maket"

Such as?

Which is still vastly cheaper than yours. So that's tow own goals.

No, urgent cases go to the front of the queue. People buy out
of public healthcare for reasons of convenience.

You'll get whatever care you can afford. And no-one
will go without.
I don't pay national insurance.
Everything is free in heaven.
They have disability coverage in the USA.
