Hope the link works.
I've made the assessment here a time or two that Marxism is perhaps the greatest evil ever imposed on the world. I equate it to 'loco weed' that can drive cattle mad...yet they can keep coming back for more.

The enticement of Marxism is great upon anyone who must work for a living, and who among us doesn't? Peterson makes the argument that Hatred and not compassion is the great driver of Marxism...not to help the working man or woman, but simply to destroy the RICH MAN. As Marxism found nothing but failure last century and the creation of murderous slave states to boot, there was not much left for the philosophical backing...so, it has gone underground [sort of]...and risen again in this new label of 'Post Modernism'.

The pyramidal social structure of any society yields an unwieldy lower portion of that pyramid who are susceptible to the errors Marxism makes, promising them utopian visions of egalitarianism while delivering...well over 100 million murdered last century for one. Of course, acolytes want to profess the reason for those abject failures were more about the leaders, implementation, and not about the philosophy itself. they dismiss the murderous outcomes of every attempt at communism, and the ultimate FORCE needed to make populations comply.

Anyway, Peterson needs to be heard as perhaps the most articulate and knowledgeable speaker on post modernism today [which is really Marxism in disguise, going underground, as it were, after no successes in the real world; nada...none...and great the human catastrophes to boot].

As the Democrat party slips from worker promotion into this new world of IDENTITY politics...and under the ideas of post modernism that attempts to define EVERYTHING as oppressed vs oppressor...we find the truth underlying this movement is the exact opposites of what it claims. Not love nor greater human understanding but simply the pure hatred, envy, and rage...that Bolsheviks once mined in the Russian population to invoke revolution.

Please listen to the lecture if you have the time. It may change your mind it is so powerful in simple truth of the 'real world' we live in [well, and something of the insanity that is overtaking us labeled postmodernism]. It also should scare the hell out of you if you love America, freedom and fear the tyrannical leanings of the present administration [both here and in Canada].

It was evil all right, as the antidote for the equally evil or more evil set of capitalism, class distinction, feudalism, racism, and all sorts of institutionalized inequalities and discriminations.

It is great for those who want something that they think they deserve, but are denied by powerful authorities.

Not so much hatred as envy is the great driver for Marxism, along with the sense of deprivation, lack of opportunity and lack of resources.
The rich man who has made his money by exploitation is hated thoroughly, yes.

Marxism did work to abolish many inequalities, no doubt about that. Its failures are many true, but they result from flawed understanding of human nature, wrong notions, evil policies, etc.
So Marxism has been discarded in most places, and replaced with nationalistic values as in Russia, economic values as in China, rational values as in Vietnam, and social welfare values in the socialist states of Europe.

This seems like it is all "muddied waters".
"???"
No, it is no kind of "reference" of that kind.

What do you mean?
Well, Jordan Peterson would obviously have more to do with an old appliance salesman in this area, "Tom Peterson", than murky slurs on persons of color.
(Then again, maybe he doesn't exactly have the name "Peterson", or the name "Jordan".)

another great commentary by Jordan Peterson this one about global warming and political ramifications
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--QS_UyW2SY

I hope caring people get to see/hear some of this [Jordan Petersen lectures and interviews]. The world seems set on a path that few realize what the costs are going to be. Some estimates I've read up to a billion people [maybe more, perhaps far more considering what is proposed]...gone; dead...murdered if you will through global food shortages [for one but the proposals call for rearranging entire civilizations in a fortnight]. Seems Mao and Stalin had no corner on this method of starvation control. But food shortages are only a fraction of what this 'great reset' promises. Imagine...lorry trucks [semis] no longer able to operate; farm combines no longer allowed [unless electrified in some way...and how many charging stations might exist in the countryside where farms are]. But what can be grown anyway with the banning of fertilizers? Cattle herds destroyed. Airplanes verboten [except for political class of course]. Shipping revamped to natural gas for a time, then banned altogether? Gas combustion engines of all kinds banned [California already doing this in a few years]. Preposterous? These are the ideas now being circulated in these 'globalist' minds...who are sold on the idea that this planet is burning up [or not, but it all offers a perfect opportunity to take control].

Remember, estimates for alternative energy methods presently known might handle about 30% of our energy needs. That leaves 70% present politicians have no idea how to provide...except through Fossil Fuels [or nuclear], which they are fast committing themselves to vanquishing in a very short time. In the meantime, strategic advantage will be handed over to present 'communist' and totalitarian states like China or Russia or even N. Korea...who presently have no intention of curtailing their fossil fuels.

What would happen, one might ask, with power hunger dictatorial leaders like Putin, when these energy polices are FORCED upon western countries [within]. That Putin found it very enticing to attack the Ukraine while a weak, senile President in Biden was in office, might provide us some clue to how adversaries to western values might pounce on the coming crippling of western industry. Destabilization usually means suffering of many people.

But this sort of outcome probably is of no consequence in the minds of these 'great reset' globalists, who are really calling for world socialism as our new world authority system anyway. Loss of a few billion of us? Yea, might help ease things a bit? And why is Bill Gates buying up all that farm land anyway? Does he know something most of us don't?

All this...Never happen, you say? Well, no one can tell the future; but with present political regimes now in place, and institutional indoctrinations crossing over at least 1 to 2 generations [to buy into the fear]...as well as media, education, and most atrocious, social media...now ALL in the pockets of strategists who are 'collective' thinkers and no longer assign to individual freedom, but more to 'social responsibility' [under social justice arguments to boot, by force mind you]...Well, ALARM can as strong as FEAR [actually the same]...but which side an conjure the most? Fear of global catastrophe or alarm of being revolutionized into the very things our fathers and their fathers fought to save us from [namely...communism under any social state]. Climate change is probably happening; but is SOCIALISM our best way to fight it? FREE markets are far more adaptive to find solutions than a few high brows trying to resolve climate in their tiny singular brains. So far, the 'cure' being presented will result in far more misery, death, mayhem, chaos, and destabilization than allowing free markets to do their job. Studies have shown there is no climate emergency at hand.

It's been a joke that climate change fanatics would send us back to 'horse and buggy' days...but consider all this and much more...now...'on the way' [given the political structures now in place across the west]. The 'Great Reset'. Most people disregard this as the maniacal musings of billionaire madmen. But...it's 'on the way'...now...given the IN PLACE political structures that exist now. "You will own nothing and be happy".

No wonder there is such a vehement ground attack upon Donald Trump. He and Brexit represented a rising up of 'the people' to resist all this nonsense coming down from progressive notions. Trump represented the sane world trying to save itself from disaster...not of climate change, but from the political insanity that now poses itself under the cloak of mass distributed FEAR mongering, as savior of the very planet [and of course, us on it]. Let no good crisis go to waste. The conservative world should take this idea and run with it as well...'cuz with Biden and Democrats in charge [and libs across the west]...the real crisis is not climate change...but THEM! [and no, that is not giant ants, [sic]ha].
