I sometimes wonder if peoples openly insisting they're part of an
exclusive club (e.g. "We're Italian!", "We're software developers!",
"We're gay!") doesn't invite jealousy unto scorn from those not
included in the club....?
Maybe it's better to not be a "this" or a "that", but to simply be?
