The conservatives on the Internet and elsewhere are conmen and
lunatics who spin paranoias and fictions in order to keep people from
noticing their deceptions. When I suggested that young violent
offenders should be drafted into the military, a lunatic conservative
said that this was a liberal ploy to weaken the army. When I said that
I was a part of a clean energy project, a lunatic conservative accused
me of fascism. When I tell the factual reality that should be common
sense - that raising carbon emissions while cutting down rainforests
that absorb carbon dioxide means problems - the lunatic conservatives
continue to accuse me of running a hoax. So it should come as no
surprise that the lunatic conservatives would be supporting the most
irrational candidates in the history of American politics.

The American lifestyle exists because of science. Without science, not
their vehicles, not their TV's, not their air conditioning, not their
computers, not their phones, not their supermarkets, would exist. And
yet the lunatic conservatives continue to attack science. They do not
give credit for what they have to science, as supposedly nothing good
comes from the damn commie liberal government. They give it to God,
who had nothing to do with it (or else the same things would have
existed in every Christian society over the 2000 years that
Christianity has existed), or else to America - meaning themselves as
practicioners of lunatic conservatism rather than the hard-working and
- yes - liberal people in America's institutions of higher learning.

The lunatic conservatives continue to take credit for all of America's
accomplishments. Meanwhile most of these accomplishments were done by
liberals or middle-of-the-roaders. Science that's at the root of
everything that business sells; education that makes people
employable; the computer industry that was the true engine of 1980s
and 1990s prosperity; Hollywood that dominates the world's airwaves;
and government projects such as the Interstate and the Internet that
provide the backbone for business growth and prosperity; are all
vastly liberal. Meanwhile the right-wing economic entities such as
Texas Oil and the beef industry are economic parasites that, in case
of Texas Oil, lied to people and lobbied government for decades to
deny reality and sabotage progress toward better technologies; and, in
case of the beef industry, is government-subsidized to the point that
it takes land that should be used to feed 2 billion people and uses
most of it to raise cattle feed, so that it feeds a fraction of that
number; and instead of reaping vast economic benefit from selling the
food abroad and vast political benefit from giving it away in times of
famine, America reaps obesity, diabetes and debt.

The lunatic conservatives keep whining about "liberal media." Liberal
media? Does that mean Rupert Murdoch? So they've created their own
liar media consisting of conmen such as Pat Robertson, Rush Limbaugh,
Glenn Beck and Alex Jones and are continuing to whine that they're
being outcompeted by "liberal media" even as they continue to claim
that the liberal are all whiners and that they, as conservatives, are
reasonable strong responsible men.

The lunatic conservatives continue insisting that they are rational
and responsible even as they continue to aggressively deny reality and
to spew forth lies and absurdities such as that the world is run by a
Satanic conspiracy, that AIDS is God's way of controlling the
homosexual population, that 9-11 happened because God removed his
protective umbrella over America, that global warming is a hoax, or
that one can want the end of the world before the children being born
now have reached maturity and have family values at the same time.
Unbelievably, there is a large population that believes all this
nonsense. Well, maybe not unbelievably. If millions of people could
follow Hitler, then so can millions of people follow his American
equivalents such as Rick Santorum.

These are the people who claim that they are America, and that the 250
million other Americans aren't. These are the people who accuse Obama,
one of America's most gentlemanly and reserved ever presidents, of
being a totalitarian even as they are advocating overtly totalitarian
tactics such as imprisoning or killing liberal democrats. These are
the people who claim that they want a small and non-obtrusive
government even as they want to be part of the government and use
government powers to force people to live the way that they live
themselves. These are the people who claim ridiculously that they
built America. They did not. Hundreds of millions of people, working
over more than two centuries, built America. And most of these people
are nothing like the Tea Party.

When faced with a movement that's based on lies, sustained by trickery
and brutality, and seeks totalitarian control over American people,
American patriotism and respect for the Constitution requires
confronting and doing away with such a movement. America requires more
people who are willing to tell the truth, even if it means having
one's head stomped on at rallies or having viruses sent to one's
computer or having an FBI file on oneself or being called a Communist.
Go to the liar media outlets and tell the truth. Go tell the truth in
the places they frequent. Go tell the truth especially to people who
are vulnerable to their rackets. America's freedom, democracy and
future demand nothing less.

Change the header to "The Lunatics."

Conservatism has nothing to do with these nut jobs.

But those nut jobs are catered to and encouraged by
conservative office seekers, so the identification is inevitable.

True but it's useful to distinguish between the tire biters and those
getting real money out of the "deal."

The tire biters think they'll get a dog biscuit out of it. When they
don't get a biscuit they figure that they just aren't biting enough
tires ferociously enough.

It's not like they think they have any other options, i.e., reading a
little economics or political science.

They are just trying to be competitive!

But some (Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh pop into mind as examples)

Even my fucking dog knows that's it a stupid idea to be sending criminals
into the military.

Damned lunatic.

Their only interest in politics is making money off the tire biters.
Clinton and Obama didn't cause Rush or Newt to get heart attacks, for
example.

There are examples of confused lunatics who are actually interested in
politics who also make some money off of it, Breitbart for example.

Rush will only get a heart attack if his base fractures so much he
doesn't know what to say to pander to them.

That may be happening now.

It's so satisfying to listen to Rush nowadays.
