They cite human encroaching of their habitat but I'm afraid there are
other factors:

The lions are not breeding like they should and that brings us to
another related topic. When are humans facing the reality that
overpopulation is an issue?

I can't think of any leader who reminds them of the issue, least among
them the Pope. Are gays the only ones not following the command of
"multiply and conquer"? And what happens when populations age such as
in Northern Europe and America and then they demand their share?

This requires careful analysis, I think.

that is the trouble monkey. overpopulation is not the issue. not
anymore. i mean let's face it monkey boy... if you are not a part of
the international community yet... you are out of time. but in terms
of homoeostasis? there should be more than enough for everyone... if
there is not? there is a reason for that issue... but who decides?

Here's a really deep thought:

Hey, some of them pray and everything and then go out preying.

Their predatory skills are not diminished at all, though you may argue
that the sheep and the lion sit next to each other for a while.

well, it was a trade off sam... more lions of god or more
followers?... can't have it both ways...

why do they pray? have they lost their faith in the lions? we will
hunt, capture, torture and kill.

Yes, you may trust the lion --only when full. Never trust hungry lion.

can you ever really say for certain the lion is full?... how does a
monkey know? is it the banana at the end of the string?... tug...
tug... it just means i am patient monkey...

jungle tip monkey... they call me hunts for wolves... a survival
technique... i hunt. i make the kill. i take a modest amount... then
leave it for the wolves... but the key here is making the imprint...
stand at the side, let them see you... and, full or not monkey, when
you hear the call of the hungry pack... get off your ass and hunt...
the simple law here being that, recognized as a part of the tribe,
when both stomachs are empty and groaning... they will not attack...
unless you suck at hunting or take too much of course... and when they
kill, have had their fill... soup the bones...

Lions of god have easier access to the sheep of god. It's a hunting
skill derived from camouflage. The lion must be nearly invisible. Only
the skillful hunter can tell where he is. Notice the lion is the color
of the grass.

They pray for peace in the jungle, whatever that means. "Peace" is a
generic word that pops everywhere, with no particular sense of how to
stop the predatory game.

Lion and sheep, meant for each other. There's story out there that
says it all but I don't like the conclusion. The choice is NOT to be
either a lion or a sheep.
