Wahhabism & the Muslim Brotherhood
This article attempts to show how the different Islamic movements are
united in their undeviating belief that Islam is the only way to
Paradise (heaven) as instructed by Allah. All Muslim luminaries who
have led Islamic movements have all, without fail, depended on Islamic
orthodoxy for their inspiration. There is little deviation in their
ultimate aims and the driving force is Allah and Jihad no matter how
it may be disguised or mitigated by Islamic apologists or their
sympathisers. It is the strict orthodoxy of Islam that has kept the
Islamic Umma together and united.

You mean, kill all the Taoists?

Sorry topic is too complex to put it in 2 words.
Are you reinventing the wheel?
After all you've studied sufism for nearly a week
and now you know all about it. Strangely, what
you know now is what you knew before you looked.
Astonishing. Amazing. Miraculous.
BTW not everyone who calls himself a christian
follows Jesus. Neither are all 'sufis' genuine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sufi
And so Keynes you are an authority from Wikipedia information? Tell us
more. Are they fundamentalists? What does Wiki say about that?
Wiki says that they take the koran as alegory.
But I already knew that. Have you ever heard such a thing?
Have you read any sufi poetry? You do know that there
have been sufi martyrs executed by the literalists who claim
to be their own (and everyone else's) ultimate authority.
Give it another week of study. But I'm afraid your mind
was made up before you ever looked into it, and your mind
will never change. So why go on? You already know the
ultimate truth of all things.
Can't you stir up interest in your own threads? I have no time for
pettiness.
So you suppose you're not being petty?
Interesting.
I do not introduce myself to someone by telling him he is ignorant.
That is sheer arrogance. Show us what you know, not by trying to put
the other guy down, but by submitting your side of the argument,
unless of course you want to rule the roost.

Elle, my that sounds so elegant for such a agent provocateur for
Allah. Don't you think so Elle? Are you FBI? Ha, ha!
Won't that be interesting? Why do you doubt when a straight question
is asked?

Because I want to be your hunchback, to your Maureen O'Hara. I'm
flattered by your enthusiasm for Tao, and I am being very typical in
my approach for better where-with-all in this matter. Pardon me.
I'm a smart-assed guy who has Chaung Tzu, as my only friend. Who needs
better, right? Just kidding. I know alot of people that are more real
than him. People get infatuated by their own designs, you know? Thats
what makes me a sex wizard...just kidding... I'm just playing on the
name Elle, like the mag, and I'm trying to have a good time. Am I
alright?

I did read that one.
Didn't see how it relates to Taoism.

Use as many as you see fit.
Or not, if you don't care to share your view.

"All Muslim luminaries ..."
Looks like a sweeping generalization to me.
"There is little deviation ..."
But there is deviation.
How much is little?
The article provided one group
of Sufi and excluded all the rest.
That appears to me to suggest
that there is very little agreement.
The majority, it could be assumed
deviates a great deal.
"... and Jihad "
Always with the jihad stuff.
One brush paints all.
Anyone that varies is, therefore,
either not "true" or necessarily not, "luminary"
since, "All Muslim luminaries ... ."
That's a sweeping generalization
tucked inside of an assertion, meant to prove ?
What's the point of it?
How does it tie into Taoism?
>>> >> >> >> no matter how
>>> >> >> >> it may be disguised or mitigated by Islamic apologists or their

It, "kept the Islamic Umma together and united."
And?
Here's what someone says about Umma.
'Ummah: the Muslim community or people,
considered to extend from Mauritania to Pakistan;
"moderate Muslims urge the Ummah to reject the terrorism ...'
wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
Obviously, according to wordnetweb.princeton.edu
there is some group called, "moderate Muslims"
who urge the community, which said community
extends to but is thereby limited to a region,
"to reject the terrorism ... "
Hence, the sweeping generalization
does not apply to, "All Muslims" across the board.
And I still don't get the tie into Taoism.

Looks to me as if somebody called somebody petty
and then said he basically doesn't do such a thing.
What's up with that.

Ah. Okay. Never mind.
Looks like the old mirror is in effect.

Some trolling is unconscious
and unintentional, not necessarily
in that particular order.
Others are fully conscious.
The best write only one or two words
and then leave thru Hanku Pass.
I keep wondering about the Taoism stuff.
Is there any Taoism stuff on the website?
is?

I saw nothing in his post to indicate that it might even be possible
to find anything except Muslim stuff there. I'm right here where
Allah can find me, I don't need no Muslim stuff.

Zenworm, what did you say? I couldn't see it!
Did you forget what forum you were posting to?
No one comes to a Taoist Philosophy forum to talk about
Muslim Religion. It is a philosophy forum, not a religion form,
and it is about Taoist philosophy not Muslim philosophy.
Don't post any links to previous posts that explain.
It doesn't matter if 'you' think there is a connection.
The people that post in this forum don't care about a connection.
They are here to discuss Taoist Philosophy.
I'm sure there are Muslim forums that care what you think
about your topic.
Respect for the topic of this forum would be appreciated.
If you see a meesage that is not on topic in your opinion,
do not bother to comment on it.
That's the Daoist way of being on the Usenet.

I'm not a Daoist.
Moonshadow are you the owner of this site?
Description All aspects of Taoism.
That means ALL ASPECTS OF TAOISM and its relationship with the rest of
the world be it the Uighers in Xinjiang vs the Taoist Han or Taoism vs
Islam, or Taoism vs. Capitalism or Taoism and Buddhism. Or Taoism and
Communism. All aspects means all aspects so long as it impinges or is
impinged upon by another philosophy or culture.
Next, this site is not a totalitarian dictatorship for Taoism.
