Oh i don't know, there might be something in this weird
science, even its not what it practitioners claimed it to be.
Imagine a body of statistics taken from nature, and a simple
man looking for simple explanations, what would he find?
How would he understand what he found? Now imagine the
scientist or the philosopher exploring the same body of
information, the same odd conjunctions, what might they find?
They might discover the same innate structures, see in the
statistics, very similar models.
It seems to me Astrology & Horoscopes map human behavior
against locality and differing orders of time.
Its might be a flawed way of classifying people, a flawed
way to hold a truth, but consider. A person born in a
particular period or locality, will share certain
characteristics with others also born at the same period,
The time of the year, might actually be a factor in
how a person develops, with explanations in the quality
of available food, the dominant climate, and even the way
that person is treated. There might be other classifications
of time, such as the Chinese year of the X. There X might
have a significance as a way mark some other occurrence in
that cycle of 'labeled years'.
Imagine if the west had a similar scaled model, The Year of
the elections, or the year of the baby bloomers, the year
of wall stock market crash. Would we still see the label or
the event?
Astrology and Horoscopes, use the planets to say they have
influence, which would be like me using a clock, to say it
has influence. You could argue that it does, or say it
allows us to explain influence.
There again we are less connected to nature. Astrology and
Horoscopes' ability to hold the attention of a great many
people, could be the primary principle at work here.
