How to make your own virtual stamp album or virtual stamp exhibit

I believe that a big part of stamp collecting and philately is to share knowledge.

 

Putting up an exhibit at a stamp show or putting up a website are 2 of the ways that you can share the knowledge.   A more expensive way is to publish a book.   I have found a great little software package called "FlipAlbum" that let's you create self-running CD's in a matter of minutes.   The software acts like a stamp or photo album and allows you to flip thru the pages by clicking on the page with your mouse (or setting the auto-flip..).

 

You can bring in stamp images, digital photos and even sound clips.   The images can be arranged on the page and you can also annotate it with text.

 

The main technology items you'll need:

- a computer

- the "FlipAlbum" software

- a CD-burner or DVD-burner

- a scanner
