If anyone could help me I would most certainly appreciate their assistance
in the following matter!

My Grandfather was a postmaster in the 1940s and '50s. He left, upon his
untimely demise (1959), a number of "Gimbels" Mint Sheet Files and Books
(24 pages each) with proof sheets of stamps. In addition there are many
packets of stamps from the aforementioned decades (all uncancelled) as well.
My mother wishes to leave these stamps to my niece--her granddaughter, but
would like to know if they are presently worth anything beyond their face
values, or if they will ever have any "monetary" value beyond simple
collection value?

Mother wanted to divide them between myself and my two brothers, but I feel
that together they would probably be more valuable, plus my niece will
hopefully out-live us all and have some thing that belonged to her
great-grandfather. Thanks in advance!
