Okay, I know nothing about collecting stamps, I'll admit.... When my
grandfather passed away in 1977, he had stamps that he used to collect,
however, I don't think he was really serious about collecting. Anyway, I
don't know what it is worth, if anything at all. Anyway, I have a bunch of
envelopes named Naribo Deluxe, which are envelopes that I am assuming
contained the pages of this stamp collection in my lap. The envelopes are
from the 1930s. As I flip through, I see stamps on paged from the year 1873
which are 3 cent stamps and the square it is mounted in reads D-59AW. There
is another in D-58A from 1875. None of the pages are full, but each page I
flip to has a stamp or two...or up to a 6 in most cases. They all look like
they have been canceled through the postal service, with black ink. It's
funny, the collection pretty much stops at 1947 (hmm, just about the time my
dad and uncle turned 11 and 14....ie, teenagers)
So, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm not an avid stamp
collector, and I think these might be better off in the hands of someone
that might appreciate them.
Thanks,
Tim
