I got the phone off my brother and when I put a new sim card in it asks for
a security code. His sim works alright in it. He hasn't changed the code.
Anyone?

Wrong newsgroup in future please try uk.telecom.mobile
Im pretty sure the phone is Service Provider (SP) locked, this means
that orange have locked the phone so it only works on their network
(im assuming of course your not using an orange sim card) you should
be able to get it unlocked quite cheaply..
Id say http://www.dvds2000.co.uk are one of the better unlockers
out there
Also I cant remember if the nk402 is dual band or not, it might be
worth looking into it if your planning on using a cellnet/voda sim
card.

default *security code* on that model phone is 12345, dont confuse the
security code with anything else tho.

Assuming the sim you're trying to put in IS Orange then the default security
code as I recall is 12345.
Btw, the nk402 is dual band.
