Trying Aspen Bedding.......

Thanks in no small part to the posts we have read here lately, my
wife and I drove the extra ten miles to another pet supply shop to
purchase aspen shavings for our ratties' bed-bed.

You fine folks here, particularly Joanne (mom to 14 rats) and Paghat,
posted very passionate and informative articles, which gave me paws
(pun intended) to think twice about the "advice" my vet had given me
about pine shavings being safe for rattie's bedding.

It would seem that my vet was mistaken in labeling your posted
concerns as "unproven," and as such, inspired by your caring and
concern, we drove the distance to buy the bedding you folks
recommended.

special kind of person to actually go that extra mile for their pets.
Your ratties will definitely benefit greatly from your conversion. Perhaps
next time you see your vet you could let it slip that pine is actually
proven to be bad for all small animals. Well, you have made my day, thanks
