Hello.
My queen ant and I recently discovered this snake outside of our new
nest. I recorded a short video clip far away and took a few zoomed
photo(graph)s of it in action:

I need a confirmation if these are these gopher snakes. I know they are
not rattle snakes due to the tail. No noises that we heard too, but then
we were far away just in case and these species can make rattling noises
too. We let it slither away. So far, we never saw it again. It has
recently been hotter than usual (90+ F degrees with tons of nature
coming alive like lizards, ants, etc.).
