Hi!

I'd like to know how old my python regius is. How old would you
think she is on this photo from Sep. 2nd 2004?

http://bksys.at/bernhard/img/cobra/young-cobra.jpg

BTW, this is not a cobra, it is a python regius named cobra because
of it's patterns.

The hands belong to a then 14 year old girl.

Thx, Bernhard

Bernhard,

That's a gorgeous little snake.
I estimate the snake to be 2 to 3 years old in that photo.

Thanks for your reply. I showed the photo to the dealer who sold the
snake and he rather thinks it is 4-5 months on the photo. I would
have thought something like this, too.

I would have said the same as well, about 4 or 5 months maximum. Pythons at
2 to 3 years woould be a lot bigger than that, probably double the size,
another year and its almost an adult.

Well I stand corrected. Go with the dealer's opinion over mine since
it's been several years since I have actively raised snakes and they
were all North American snakes from the southeast. Thanks for setting
me straight, Bernhard.
