this may be true. But how can any logical person look at the death
tally and not wonder? Not to mention the heartless way she dismisses
the deaths. "sadly we lost so and so and so and so... but here is some
good news!" I don't know about you, but if I lost any animal, be it
mine or a foster I would be devestated. (thus the reason it's hard for
me to foster and I only do it in extreme cases... I have trouble
returning them LOL) But I just wonder how it doesn't raise some
serious red flags. It's all up there for everyone to see. Also, she
is either delusional or previous reports are wrong because why would
someone move to a different state and open a rescue under the same
name as the first if they were shut down for neglect and hoarding? It
doesn't make sense. Why is this allowed to continue?
2. In my clinical and forensic experience, people who do this kind of
animal hoarding have no insight whatsoever into the damage they are
doing. We recently had a case here in Long Beach with Noah's Ark
rescue in which the conditions were atrocious. The wonam running the
rescue believes [probably quite sincerely] that she was 'saving' these
animals wvwn though the vast majority of the many animals she had were
so sick from neglect that they really had to be euthanized. She is
facing time in jail or prison for animal cruelty and I honestly doubt
this will stop her, especially once she is off parole.
In another cat hoarding case here, a mother and daughter were going in
and out of court in various preliminary hearings after having been
found with at least 80 cats, the vast majority starving or near death
from other illnesses, as well as multiple cat carcassas. Their
apartment waevacuated and decontaminated. They had a temporary new
residence and a condition of their bail was NO ANIMALS. They were
very secretive and were found, during their bail, to again have cats
[multiple] in their housing during this period.
In other words, these compulsioins can get very serious and rigid and
you can't count on "common sense" to prevail.
3. If you are really concerned, you might contact the authorities in
her area and ask them to look into this situation, particularly given
her record. At least in California there are some legal means of
stopping this for a time and there may be some in Florida as well.

Living in England, I had never heard of her and had innocently passed
on one of her messages to a friend. I was very shocked when I found
out the history.

Subject: [HouseRabbitDiscussion] Rescued Animals... Give me FIVE
minutes?
Friends and Extended Family of our Animal Rescue,
We know that times are rough for everyone right now - however, we
are concerned that with money and time in short supply, that those of
you who support our mission overlook the TINY things you can do that
help us so very much. Even $5 spent at the dollar store or Walmart on
cleaning products helps us imeasurably!
For the Locals: While Kristie, Ron and Frank spent countless hours
tearing the garage apart, cleaning everything and reorganizing, and
Kristie, Pam, Jeff, Sean, Gene, Val, Colin and Sarah spent weeks
building the new kennels - we need folks to help maintain. Cleaning
ALL the bunny condos now takes UNDER an hour once a week! Feeding and
watering all the bunnies takes approximately one half hour. As of
tomorrow, it will be SEVEN days since Kristie has had a single second
of help - she has worked 64 hours as a Deputy, and countless many more
with the bunnies - ALONE. Please find one hour a week, or every other
week, or once a month and let her know what you can commit to. We need
you more than ever.
We have taken in eight new bunnies this month, all of whom were in
life or death dire straights. We are still battling with Nathan's
mystery mushy poos, two of the new buns are underweight and Petey's on
daily injections for his ongoing eye infection.
We are down to a critically low number of foster homes. The
refrigerator is EMPTY of veggies. There is about three handfuls of the
last bale of hay, and 25 lbs of food left. We are low on towels, we're
missing EIGHT of our carriers that have been loaned out and not
returned and we desperately need new toys, small cardboard boxes,
wicker baskets to replace the ones that have been chewed and
destroyed. The vet bill still needs $780 to pay it OFF.
The newsletter, which usually raises significant donations cost
almost $160 to print and mail out - and not one single donation slip
was sent back. Not a single person sent an item from our wish list.
We're beside ourselves with need right now. We are taking in animals
from foreclosure and financial disaster - and we're heading into one
ourselves. Our electric bill is $350 a month, our phone/internet/
printer ink/stamps cost almost $150/month. We are down to half a
container of bleach and about three cups of laundry detergent. We have
one bag of litter left.
The rescue's bank account currently has $34.60 in it.
That's not even enough to get us through the week with food & litter.
PLEASE look at the list below, pick ONE item that you can afford, and
send it with love and our eternal gratitude to:
Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue

WE NEED: ** ASAP: BALES OF HAY, Bags of FOOD, VEGGIES **
-Walmart Gift Cards
-Home Depot Gift Cards
WE NEED CAT CARRIERS! We are down to SIX, and we REGULARLY transport
more buns than that.
Bleach, laundry detergent, STAMPS, bunny litter (any paper based / we
buy equine fresh from Tractor Supply!), LARGE bags of bunny food (any
brand that is NOT a "fiesta" mix), hedgehog food, chinchilla food,
chinchilla dust, cat food, trash bags, litter boxes of various sizes,
towels/blankets, BABY TOYS, bunny toys, plastic balls (cat toys, dog
toys, etc)
We have a RESCUE American Bull Dog named Pressley who Kristie rescued
off the streets while at work, whom she had neutered and paid for all
his shots. Pam helped foster him, but Pressley needs obedience
training, eats a TON, and needs supplies. If you have DOG SUPPLIES
(Food, etc) PLEASE let us know and send your spare dog stuff to the
rescue. We do occasionally have dog fosters, and we will put your dog
supplies to good use!
Do you have any of these strange Items that we need?
A shop vac, a cart on wheels (for moving around loads of carriers,
laundry, trash, etc), large rubbermaid bins, plastic pitchers, sheets
of plywood, drills (cordless and otherwise), carpet pieces
PLEASE take five minutes and think about what YOU can do to
help, because YOU alone can make a huge difference, even with a very
small donation. NO donation is *SMALL* when it's saving lives!

Marylee and Domino the devilbun
Wait, the womans name is Pam, she said she helped get Domino to me!
I'm so confused!

Professor, The Jump, Zolo, Wizard, & Magic Brenda
yes kristen is the one who is at the miracles place..
I don't know who pam is, but this thread is about the root of the
problem. Kris Corson. If Domino was a LMRR bunny he is truly
thankful. I am hoping you have this confused though.
Thanks for caring! I guess Domino has a brother named Confetti who
was also adopted out. Too bad I didn't know at the time. I would
have adopted him too. What a cute name! His foster mom fell in love
with him and ended up keeping him. If his personality is even close
to Dommy's, can't say I blame her. I totally lucked out with this
clown of a bunny. Thanks again for your love and support.
