I don't know how much he's actually eaten. Mostly, he enjoys making a
mess (handily hidden under the chest).

My bunnies have been nibbling on (and digging - great for saving
carpets) these for years with no ill affects. While doing some
reserach, I found that they are treated with a gaseous substance at a
very high temp. to kill off any bugs, but the gases are gone when
exposed to oxygen and room temperature, so they should be quite safe.
