My greatest housetraining success seems due to two main factors:
1) Positioning the litter box where the bunny most likes to go
2) Lavish praise when the bunny goes to the litterbox and "performs."
Though the bunny may not show much reaction, it does register.
Most bunny owners sem to agree that punishment, yelling, etc., is more
or less completely ineffective with rabbits (though I'm sure you'd never
do any of those things).
Have you tried www.rabbit.org? It's a goldmine of helpful hints on all
kinds of bunny issues.
Nona
this is normal bunny behavior... they leave their poopies to mark their
territory... she's making the house hers... since her cage is already hers,
that isn't such a big deal to her :) she will learn to use the litter box but
will occassionally still need to mark out her territory... vacuum cleaner,
small broom and dustpan and lots of patience will make it all better!!
